The Animatrix Network is an anime & manga fan club located in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. We usually meet on the third Saturday of each month (except when holidays or conventions coincide). The meetings are free and open to the public. Join us for a day filled with anime.

Watch the trailer for Masters of The Universe, an upcoming live-action adventure movie based on Mattel’s classic 80’s toy brand. Masters of The Universe stars Nicholas Galitzine, Camila Mendes, Alison Brie, James Purefoy, Morena Baccarin, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Charlotte Riley, featuring Kristen Wiig as the voice of “Roboto” with Jared Leto and Idris Elba.

In Masters of The Universe, Director Travis Knight brings the legendary franchise back to the big screen in this epic live-action adventure. After being separated for 15 years, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) back to Eternia where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto). To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), and embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe.

The screenplay is by Chris Butler and Aaron Nee & Adam Nee & Dave Callaham. The story is by Aaron Nee & Adam Nee and Alex Litvak & Michael Finch. Based on Masters of the Universe by Mattel. It is produced by Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Robbie Brenner, and DeVon Franklin. Ynon Kreiz, Bill Bannerman, and David Bloomfield serve as executive producers.
Masters of the Universe opens in theaters on June 5, 2026.
