Plot Summary:  

Jinshi notices Loulan's unusually large number of ladies-in-waiting during a visit to the palace's concubines, which reflects negatively on the others. Looking for Maomao at the Jade Pavilion, Gyokuyou points him to the clinic, where Maomao works with the doctor to create scented oils and ethyl alcohol for disinfecting, using a still she found. She does this process away from the Jade Pavilion to prevent the fumes from triggering a miscarriage, as Gyokuyou is pregnant. Later, a package of books from the Madam of Verdigris arrive, intended to teach ladies-in-waiting how to please the emperor in case it happens. Jinshi approves her little side hustle but Gaoshun had to take the books for censoring of its very explicit parts. A few days later, a novel starts becoming popular as it circulates among the servants. Noting the seal on one of the books, she remembers Jinshi asking where the books were purchased, and him asking her once on how to improve literacy in the rear palace. Thinking that this is part of the emperor's effort to promote literacy, Maomao then urges Ailan, one of Gyokuyou's ladies who can write, to make copies of the novel, so that the servants could read it too. Xiaolan expresses interest in learning to read and write, not just to enjoy the novel, but for her future as well. Later, during a walk with Hongniang and Maomao watching over her, Princess Lingli hears a kitten meowing in an alley. Maomao attempts, but fails, to catch it, only to be caught by an unfamiliar servant girl. Maomao takes care of the kitten, and the emperor allows the princess to keep it as a pet. Though the kitten is dubbed the "Admonisher of Thieves" for keeping the clinic rodent-free, Maomao is irritated that the kitten was named "Maomao". Later, Maomao hears news about a caravan arriving in town.

 

 

12:05 - 12:55   Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX 5-6

Mobile Suit Gundam: GQuuuuuuX

Plot Summary:  

Gaia and Ortega, two members of the former ace group the Black Tri-Stars, plan to enter Clan Battle to earn money and settle their jealousy for the Red Gundam. Xavier decides to search for the GQuuuuuuX himself, though he is warned by a Zeon informant to be wary of Challia's true motives. He comes across Amate and Nyaan as they head for their next Clan Battle, and recognizes Amate. When Nyaan is accosted by a police officer who asks for her identification, Amate assaults the officer and she and Nyaan flee. Xavier corners and detains Amate in order to prove her identity as the pilot, reasoning that the Pomeranians would be forced to forfeit if she does not arrive in time to pilot the GQuuuuuuX. Nyaan decides to secretly take her place. Nyaan and Shuji fight Gaia and Ortega, who quickly gain the upper hand due to Nyaan's inexperience and Shuji being debilitated by a fever. However, Nyaan's frustration causes her Newtype powers to manifest and she and Shuji kill Gaia and Ortega. After the battle ends, Amate escapes Xavier, distraught as her Newtype connection with Shuji is no longer special. She is later shocked to learn that Nyaan was piloting the GQuuuuuuX. Amate begins avoiding Nyaan after the Clan Battle due to her jealousy. After observing the GQuuuuuuX's recent performance, Challia arranges for the delivery of a Kikeroga mobile armor. Xavier is warned by his informant that both Zeon and Side 6 are on edge amid fears of Supreme Commander Gihren Zabi or the Federation interfering in the upcoming arrival of Gihren's sister Kycilia to Izuma for a summit. Since Challia has ties to Gihren, Xavier is reminded to further monitor him as Kycilia's mole. Later, Pomeranians leader Annqi brokers a deal with Challia on returning both Gundams and revealing Shuji's location after spying on Amate in exchange for a large bounty, during which Challia asks about the pilot of the GQuuuuuuX. Amate overhears Annqi's plans and reluctantly works with Nyaan to plan their escape to Earth with Shuji. Meanwhile, Federation agents and Cyber-Newtypes Gates Capa and Deux Murasame infiltrate Izuma on orders from Bask Om with the intent to assassinate Kycilia. Side 6 authorities try to murder Xavier as a warning to Zeon, but he is rescued by Challia, leaving Xavier to wonder about his next move as Kycilia arrives at the colony.

1:30 - 2:20    Lazarus (5-6)

LAZARUS

Plot Summary:  

The Lazarus team discovers that Delta Medical has been covertly distributing data for the Hapna clinical trials to Skinner via SoundCloud in an audio file format and directly confront the company's CEO, Dr. Ahmed Rahman. Rahman claims he had no prior knowledge that Hapna was dangerous and that he doesn't know where Skinner is either. He confirms that Skinner's claims about Hapna are real, as the monkey test subjects that had taken Hapna prior to human trials have already begun to die, leaving a distinctive constellation-like pattern in their eyes. Tired of trying to chase after Skinner, Axel suggests that they try to lure him out into the open, and Rahman agrees to host a conference claiming that the company has found a cure to Hapna as bait. Despite heavy security, the master hacker Popcorn Wizard manages to penetrate Delta Medicinal's internal network and steal information on the antidote, discovering that it's indeed fake. Eleina tracks Popcorn Wizard's location to the Pakistan Stock Exchange building complex, but she is able to evade local authorities and make her escape via van. Popcorn Wizard proceeds to call Eleina and compliment her for being the individual who came the closest to catching her. Doug discovers a magazine from 15 years ago showing Skinner visiting a religious cult commune that worships an AI called Naga, located in a remote compound called "The Tower of the Truth". Eleina reveals that she was raised there, and since Naga is completely disconnected from the outside world, she can use her past connections to infiltrate the site and directly access Naga. Eleina returns to the commune with Leland who poses as new convert, and they meet Eleina's old friend Hanna, Eleina's mother Carla, and the commune's leader Billy. While the rest of the team standby at a nearby motel, Doug learns that Naga uses Skinner's brain scan as its base model, and that Billy is one of Naga's former MIT researchers, who stole the AI and founded the commune to foster its development. Later that night, Eleina and Leland are caught trying to hack into Naga and are sentenced to be burned to death the following day, while the rest of the commune plans to also die the same way in a mass suicide. During the ceremony, Hanna sets off a smoke bomb that signals the rest of the Lazarus team into action. The FBI also commences their own raid on the commune, and everybody is rescued except for Billy, who is seemingly killed when Naga collapses on him during the fire. The Lazarus team recovers Naga's memory bank and begin analyzing it.

Plot Summary:  

In an accident, an ordinary boy, Wang Xiaoxiu, obtains a space system called "Superpower Cube" from a high-latitude cosmic civilization and gains extraordinary powers. When the school belle, Shen Yao, Wang Xiaoxiu’s longtime crush, confesses her love to him, the delinquent Sun Jun, who also has a crush on her, is provoked. Wang Xiaoxiu resolves the crisis with his wit and extraordinary powers, but it also brings more disasters as a result. Shen Yao is taken to the world of extraordinary beings by a mysterious person, and Wang Xiaoxiu embarks on a journey to rescue her. Fighting in the bizarre universe, he finds the meaning of fairness and justice on the path to becoming a peerless powerhouse.

Plot Summary:  

Yang Cheng is an orphan working as an E-Soul actor at a children's theater under the employ of an ice-ko shop owner, Rock. He gets hired by his school crush, Xia Qing, who cannot tell it is him under his costume, to be a personal entertainer for her little brother, Pomelo. Cheng and Pomelo bond as the latter helps him prepare for a competition to be a part of E-Soul's hero anniversary presentation. However, his zero Trust Value results in him losing. Still too afraid to confess his feelings towards Qing and sad over his loss, he leaves. Pomelo finds him but gets kidnapped by two of Cheng's former co-workers. Cheng gives chase and causes the kidnapper's vehicle to crash. Though no match against the kidnappers, Cheng refuses to give up, and Pomelo places faith in him upon seeing his determination. This gives Cheng his first trust value, unlocking electric power similar to E-Soul's, allowing him to defeat the kidnappers. Afterward, Cheng brings Pomelo home to Qing when he is confronted by one of the competition's judges, Shang Chao.

3:35 - 4:55    Predator: Killer of Killers [Movie]

Plot Summary:  

In Scandinavia in the year 841, Viking warrior Ursa leads her son Anders and their clan on an expedition to destroy the Krivich tribe and their leader, Zoran, who was responsible for the death of Ursa's father. They slaughter Zoran's clan and Ursa confronts him in his fortress. Zoran chastises Ursa before Anders kills him. Immediately after the battle, a Predator ambushes the group, killing Ursa's clan members one by one and seriously injuring Anders. Ursa manages to defeat and kill the Predator after a brutal duel, but Anders succumbs to his wounds and dies in her arms. By 1609 in Japan, brothers Kenji and Kiyoshi, sons of a samurai warlord, are ordered to duel to determine their father’s successor. Kenji refuses to fight, but Kiyoshi attacks and defeats him; Kenji flees. Twenty years later, Kiyoshi has become lord of the region, while Kenji has lived in exile as a shinobi. Kenji returns to confront his brother, unaware that a Predator is hunting him. He infiltrates his brother’s castle and defeats Kiyoshi in a sword fight. After Kiyoshi falls into the castle's moat, the Predator ambushes Kenji. Kenji escapes and rescues the injured Kiyoshi. The brothers join forces and succeed in killing the Predator, although Kiyoshi dies from his injuries. In 1942, John J. Torres is drafted into the U.S. Navy as a Grumman F4F Wildcat fighter pilot under the command of Captain Vandy. During the North African campaign, his squadron investigates a mysterious aircraft that destroyed another unit. Torres, grounded after a malfunction, discovers the aircraft is a Predator starship attacking both sides. Taking a battered Wildcat, he attempts to warn the others but arrives too late. The Predator fighter pilot annihilates his squadron until only he and Vandy remain. Vandy sacrifices himself to buy time for Torres, who outmaneuvers the Predator and tricks it into destroying itself. Sometime after World War II ends, while working in his garage, Torres is abducted by another Predator ship.
