Some Facts About the Millennium Falcon

[Source: blastr.com] Did you know what the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy was called before she was given the name Millennium Falcon? We didn't—and we spend more time thinking about the ship that made the Kessel Run more than we spend contemplating international affairs.

The infographic below has even more fun facts than that, all dedicated to the ship that's got it where it counts … up to and including her sad fate (something else we never knew).

Oh, and the previous names given to the modified YT-1300 freighter? Second Chance and Gone to Pieces. Although those two names are somewhat literal when you remember that Luke Skywalker called it "a piece of junk," we think that Millennium Falcon has a more compelling ring to it.

And as you'll see in the infographic, the ship's code name was also on the literal side. After all, the ship is kinda round.
