Warner Bros. released an animated blooper reel from THE LEGO MOIVE, based on some of the outtakes from their voice cast. Will Arnett is absolutely AWESOME as Batman.

Plot Summary:
The film, the first-ever full length theatrical LEGO movie, follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.

Chris Pratt ("Moneyball") stars as Emmet. Oscar® winner Morgan Freeman ("Million Dollar Baby") and Elizabeth Banks ("The Hunger Games," Emmy nominee for "30 Rock"), will star as two of Emmet's fellow travelers: Vitruvius, an old mystic; and tough-as-nails Lucy, who mistakes Emmet for the savior of the world and guides him on his quest. She also calls upon the mysterious Batman, a LEGO® minifigure voiced by Will Arnett (Emmy nominee, "30 Rock"), with whom she shares a history.

Heavenly Sword: The Movie

There’s a brand new trailer for that Heavenly Sword film featuring a badass, sword-wielding Nariko, played by Fringe’s Anna Torv.

The CG animated film not only features Anna Torv voicing that flaming-red-haired Nariko, it also features Alfred Molina as King Bohan (he was voiced and mo-capped by Andy Serkis in the original video game) and Thomas Jane (The Punisher) as Loki.

Heavenly Sword: The Movie is based on the original hit 2007 PlayStation 3 Sony video game of the same name.

Heavenly Sword is a dramatic tale of revenge that sees Nariko (Anna Torv), a fiery red-haired heroine, embark on a quest for vengeance against the invading King Bohan (Alfred Molina) and his army. Once considered the failure of a legendary prophesy, Nariko must wield a sword that was ultimately meant for another. This ancient Heavenly Sword, once belonging to a powerful deity, can never be wielded by a mortal without it slowly but inevitably killing them. For Nariko it is a race against time to avenge her clan before her life is irreparably overtaken by the omnipotent Heavenly Sword.

‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ animated series

The Lucasfilm produced series, which originally aired on the Cartoon Network before it was surprisingly canceled last year, ran for nearly five years. Netflix will also include, in addition to the final season, all episodes from the previous five seasons.

[By Michael Sheridan / NEW YORK DAILY NEWS] Netflix will air the final, unaired 13 episodes of ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars,’ starting March 7. Among the episodes will include a story focusing on Yoda as he investigates the mysterious disappearance of a Jedi.

The Force is strong with Netflix.

The online streaming website has scored a big win, and nabbed the unaired sixth and final season of the canceled yet popular animated series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.”

The 13-episodes will debut exclusively on Netflix March 7. 

In addition to the final 13 episodes, Netflix will also feature all five previous seasons of the popular ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars.’

“Star Wars is one of the most iconic franchises of all time and this series joins a long line of Disney content that Netflix members are and will continue to enjoy for years to come,” said Ted Sarandos, Netflix chief content officer, in a press release.

The final episodes, which initially were only going to air in Germany starting later this month, will be joined by all the previous seasons of the acclaimed series which originally aired on Cartoon Network.

It first debuted as a motion picture in 2008.

The series was canceled last year after Lucasfilm, the company that produced the show, was bought by the Walt Disney Company.

Not only will Netflix include seasons one through five, there will be many extended director's cut episodes.

The deal is just the latest to come out of the partnership between Netflix and Disney, which now owns the wildly popular Star Wars franchise. The online streaming website already features a slew of Disney films. Plus, next year it will debut several original series based on Marvel comics characters, which is also owned by Disney.
A new animated series, “Star Wars: Rebels,” is also set to debut later this year. It will air on the Disney channel starting this fall.

[Source: Blastr.com] We’ve been waiting to find out what might happen to those “lost” episodes of Star Wars: Clone Wars, and now it sounds like fans really will get a happy ending.

Netflix has announced a new deal with Disney to stream the entire series, including the mythical sixth season that was in the works when the Mouse House pulled the plug in favor of Star Wars: Rebels. So get ready, Clone Wars fans, because 13 episodes worth of “The Lost Missions” are set to debut on March 7.

In these eagerly anticipated episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, some of the deepest mysteries of the conflict between the light and the dark sides of the Force are revealed. An intrepid clone trooper discovers a shocking secret, Anakin Skywalker’s closest relationship is tested to its limits and what Master Yoda discovers while investigating the disappearance of a Jedi could forever change the balance of power in the galaxy.

It’s easily the best resolution fans could hope for, and it definitely beats the alternative of having these episodes languish on a server somewhere and never see the light of day. It’s also a savvy move by Disney to leverage some buzz out of Clone Wars as they get ready to launch Rebels and the new sequels.

On another note, this is yet another big deal between Disney and Netflix, joining that massive deal for some new Marvel spinoff series. Disney definitely seems to be a fan of the Netflix model, and we're curious to see what else might come out of that partnership in the future.

This will mark the first time the entire run of Clone Wars has been available for streaming on Netflix, and it’ll help keep some Star Wars momentum running in the doldrums of the next few months.

Katee Sackhoff as Captain Marvel?

It just might happen...

[Source: Syfy.com] According to Comic Book Movie, the Battlestar Galactica actress, Katee Sackhoff, could be in talks for the role of Ms./Captain Marvel.

However, Sackhoff—who is currently starring in Riddick—has revealed that "there's been some stuff going on" and "a lot of checking of availability for the first quarter of next year," when she was quizzed on the recent news that Marvel was looking to do a Captain Marvel flick, and whether she’d be interested in a role: most specifically, that of Carol Danvers, aka Ms./Captain Marvel.

The actress never actually mentioned Ms. Marvel per se, but since we know the studio’s really interested in getting this project off the ground—even though Marvel's admitted that it was "hard”—seems to us that the timing couldn't be more perfect. Simply put, Katee Sackhoff would rock it as Carol Danvers/Ms. Marvel.

The pint-sized icon, famous for her ringlet curls and dimples, was 7 years old when she topped the likes of Clark Gable, Bing Crosby, and others to become America's No. 1 box office draw in 1935, and held that title through 1938 with films such as "Curly Top," "Heidi," and "Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm."

  Temple Black was known for bringing cheer to the nation as it recovered from the Great Depression and is widely considered to have helped save Fox from bankruptcy. By the age of 12, she herself was a multi-millionaire. She had already earned $4 million, which would be equivalent to about $65 million today.
  
  The Southern California native was just three when she was discovered in a dance class by producers looking for a star for a short film series called Baby Burlesks. From 1931 until 1961, "America's Little Darling" appeared in 43 feature films, often showing off her dancing skills. The "Bright Eyes" and "Wee Willie Winkie" star received a special Academy Award in recognition of her outstanding contribution during 1934.
  
  Her career slowed down in her teen years and she started to focus more on her personal life. She was married for the first time at 17 to a soldier named Jack Agar. According to her website, Agar's personal problems led them to divorce just four years later, but they had a daughter named Susan.
  

• At 22, she retired from making movies completely. It was then that she met the man she described as her "true soulmate," Charles Black, who was a former military officer. The couple had two children, Charlie Jr. and Lori, and remained together until his death in 2005.
  
  Her greatest accomplishment in life is her family, she noted on her website, specifically, "My three children, my granddaughter, and two great-granddaughters," she listed.
  
  In 1958, Temple Black returned to show business, making a two-season series of fairytale adaptations. She hosted and narrated the series on which Temple's three children made their acting debuts.
  
  No longer in front of the cameras, Temple Black went onto pursue a career in politics. While she made an unsuccessful bid as Republican candidate for Congress in 1967, she later held several diplomatic posts, including U.S. Representative to the United Nations and United States Ambassador (to Ghana and Czechoslovakia). She was also the first woman to be the Chief of Protocol in the State Department, a role she had during President Carter's administration.

  A breast cancer survivor, she wrote the first volume of her autobiography in 1988, calling it "Child Star." She was working on a second volume in her later years.
  
  Temple Black passed away on Feb. 10 at her Woodside, California, home from natural causes. She was surrounded by her family and caretakers.
  
  "We salute her for a life of remarkable achievements as an actor, as a diplomat, and most importantly as our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and adored wife for 55 years of the late and much missed Charles Alden Black," the family said in a statement to Yahoo.
  
  Private family arrangements are being made, but fans are asked to sign a remembrance guest book that will be added to her website, ShirleyTemple.com.

  As for donations, they may be made in Temple Blacks's memory to the Commonwealth of Club of California's 2nd Century Campaign or to the Educational Center at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.

Anime Los Angeles 2014

[Source: AnimeNewsNetwork] Anime Los Angeles is, quite frankly, a cosplayer's paradise. Every inch of the venue—a Marriott located right across the street from Los Angeles International Airport—teems with cosplayers. Those who aren't in costume are apt to be parents, vendors, or more likely, cosplay photographers. 

It might have something to do with the timing of the event, which is offset by about six months from the Los Angeles area's more well-known convention event, Anime Expo, giving local cosplayers the perfect opportunity and time to work their craft. If ever you wanted a chance to gawk at some of the most talented and meticulously created costumes that anime fandom has to offer, this is your con. 

The event is also designed for comfort, offering not only a vitamin-stocked "Parents Lounge" for weary guardians, but also benches and bean bag chairs along certain hallways. It's no surprise that the event grows in popularity every year, with sold-out attendance.

Fūka Koshiba (Iki mo Dekinai Natsu) plays the title witch girl Kiki in the film. 16-year-old actor Ryōhei Hirota performs the critical role of Kiki's friend Tombo. Co-starring with Koshiba and Hirota is Machiko Ono (Suzaku, Like Father, Like Son) as Osono, the owner of the bakery where Kiki works. Hiroshi Yamamoto plays Osono's baker husband Fukuo, and Miho Kanazawa plays a woman named Saki who visits the bakery. Rie Miyazawa (Oceans, Hana, Peony Pavilion) plays Kiki's mother Kokiri, and Michitaka Tsutsui (Reunion, Ballad: Namonaki Koi no Uta, Shikoku) plays Kiki's father Okino. Additionally, Tadanobu Asano (Ichi the Killer, Lupin III) will play veterinarian Dr. Ishi. 

Satoko Okudera (Summer Wars, Wolf Children, The Princess and the Pilot) is writing the script for the film. 

Filming began on May 23 in a Tokyo studio, and it wrapped up in July. The film will open in Japan on March 1. 

The six novel volumes of Majo no Takkyūbin follow the coming of age of Kiki with her black cat Jiji. They have sold 1.8 million copies and have been translated into eight languages, including English, Italian, Chinese, Swedish, and Korean. Hayao Miyazaki directed Studio Ghibli's famous anime film version, which adapted the first novel volume.

• With fellow producer-director Jules Bass, he was behind the holiday TV specials – and perennial ratings hits – “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Frosty the Snowman.”

• [Source: THR] Arthur Rankin Jr., the son of two actors, began his career in television at ABC in the 1940s (the radio network made the jump to TV in 1948), where he worked as an art director and graphic designer on shows like Tales of Tomorrow. Then, in 1960, he partnered with Jules Bass to found Videocraft International, a company whose name later changed to something you likely saw every December as a child: Rankin/Bass.
  
  The duo's first major production was The New Adventures of Pinocchio, a TV series that used a stop-motion animation style they called "Animagic" and that would become the company's hallmark. After another animated series -- Tales of the Wizard of Oz -- and a TV special called Return to Oz, Rankin and Bass took on a project that is still an inescapable part of the holiday season 50 years after its release: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, which first aired as an NBC holiday special in 1964 and was still a ratings hit when it aired on CBS in 2013. For more than two decades after Rudolph became a hit, Rankin/Bass continued to produce holiday specials with varying degrees of success, most of which are still being broadcast today. Their other Christmas specials, featuring both Animagic and traditional animation, include Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town, The Year Without a Santa Claus, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July and The Little Drummer Boy. They also managed to conquer other holidays with Mad Monster Party for Halloween, Here Comes Peter Cottontail for Easter, and Rudolph's Shiny New Year for New Year's Day.
  
  Rankin and Bass did so much more than conquer holiday broadcasting, though. They were also a major force in fantasy and science fiction animation for decades. In 1977, they produced an animated TV special adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit, and they followed it up with a loose adaptation of The Lord of the Rings known as The Return of the King. In 1982, they co-directed and produced what was quite possibly a home video staple of your youth, a traditionally animated adaptation of Peter S. Beagle's The Last Unicorn, which remains a classic in the eyes of many. They also fed your cartoon addiction in the 1980s, producing and directing animated series like SilverHawks and, more importantly, ThunderCats. So if you were addicted to Lion-O's adventures, you have Arthur Rankin (among others) to thank.
  
  At the time of his death, Rankin had been largely retired from the TV and film business. His last credit, as a consulting producer, was on the revived ThunderCats series that aired in 2011 and 2012. He kept busy, though, putting on stage productions in Bermuda and teaching at Bermuda College. We might not have heard from him much in the last couple of decades, but his legacy -- a body of work including numerous classics and more than 1,000 productions -- is certainly secure. He is survived by his wife, Olga, and sons Todd and Gardner.

King Kong is coming to Broadway

And it looks Awesome!

King Kong is coming to Broadway, and it just may be the coolest show we've seen in years.

The show's been playing out in Melbourne at the Regent Theatre with wild success. The enormous Kong puppet requires 13 live operators to make him move. But it's well worth that work, because the result is absolutely breathtaking. But why tell you, when you can get a glimpse for yourself?

The show will arrive in December of this year. If you're not aware of the time, work and money involved in putting up a Broadway show, especially one with such a crazy set piece, that's pretty darn fast.

The show highlights 1930s Broadway tunes like “Get Happy,” “I Wanna Be Loved By You” and “Brother Can You Spare a Dime." But it also features new stuff from more contemporary artists such as Sarah McLachlan, Robert Del Naja, Justice, Guy Garvey and the Avalanches, Michael Mitnick and Stephen Pavlovic.

And the show will be getting revamped for Broadway. Gerry Ryan, one of the show's producers, says, “We’re having to tweak it a little bit, a little bit more music, and polish up the script. We did get a script doctor, try and tighten the show up, for the audience to follow the story a little bit easier."

It's Official! Lex Luthor will be portrayed by...

Jesse Eisenberg.

The Oscar-nominated star of The Social Network, who is seen most recently in the magician-themed heist thriller Now You See Me, will play one of the most iconic supervillains of all time, Superman's nemesis, a guy who's previously been portrayed on the big screen by Oscar winners Gene Hackman and Kevin Spacey. 

"Lex Luthor is often considered the most notorious of Superman’s rivals, his unsavory reputation preceding him since 1940," Snyder said in the press release. "What’s great about Lex is that he exists beyond the confines of the stereotypical nefarious villain. He’s a complicated and sophisticated character whose intellect, wealth and prominence position him as one of the few mortals able to challenge the incredible might of Superman. Having Jesse in the role allows us to explore that interesting dynamic, and also take the character in some new and unexpected directions.”

Walking Dead Season 4 Featurette

"It's every man for himself!"

[Source: Syfy.com] Next month, The Walking Dead will return with the second half of season four. The last time we saw the survivors, they were in complete disarray. The separation will play a huge part in the storyline for the upcoming episodes. AMC's released a featurette revealing how the characters are doing on the road.

Co-executive producer Denise Huth believes these episodes return to the core of the show. It's about the loss of family and, in some cases, humanity. "That's such a theme of the show over and over and over again," she said. "Whenever you create a home it will not last long. It will always change and you will suffer more loss. What will you do?"

Everyone's been separated, and most of them are on foot. They're in a weakened state, and we'll see them at their most vulnerable. One thing we found interesting about this video are the pairings, or should we say lack thereof. In the midseason finale, it looked as if everyone got into smaller groups and left. But in the featurette a lot of people are alone. Maggie, Michonne, Daryl, etc.

The producers also pose the question "Will they or won't they cross paths?"

Celebrating 40 Years of Dungeons & Dragons

[Source: Blastr.com] Who could have imagined the journey that tabletop gaming would take when Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson came together back in 1974? These two men, also known as the creators of Dungeons & Dragons, knew they'd made something they loved, but they couldn't have known how far that love would spread.

But if you know anything of the history of Dungeons & Dragons, then you know it's not exactly a tale of two heroes who got their happy ending. And this new documentary, The Great Kingdom, seems very intent upon revealing some of the ups, downs and difficult truths behind how D&D became so successful, and the sacrifices that were made toward that end.

While the tale itself may not be pretty, there can be no denying that the look of the doc itself is pretty darn gorgeous.
