The Walking Dead Season 10 Finale

THE  WALKING  DEAD
Season 10 Finale
Extended Opening Minutes
Get an extended first look at the return of Lauren Cohan as Maggie. The Walking Dead Season 10 Finale airs Sunday, October 4 at 9/8c.

The Walking Dead depicts a fictional group of heroes struggling to maintain their way of life in a post-apocalyptic, walker-infested world. But sometimes unexpected real-world events offer up its own set of unique challenges.

Today, AMC announced that current events have unfortunately have made it impossible to complete post-production of The Walking Dead‘s upcoming Season 10 Finale. As such, the current season will end with Episode 15 on Sunday, April 5. The planned finale will appear as a special episode later in the year.

In Season 10, with the Whisperer War upon them, the collective communities must come together and possibly sacrifice all they have to find a way to silence the Whisperers once and for all. Otherwise they face a certain doom. In Episode 15, the communities prepare for the final battle of the Whisperer War.

The Walking Dead returns this Sunday, February 12

THE WALKING DEAD
[Source: SyfyWire] Ahead of The Walking Dead's eagerly anticipated return this coming weekend, AMC has released a new midseason promo and a couple of featurettes.

First things first. The latest (and rather intense) promo boasts some cool new footage from Season 7B, including a look at one of the freakiest zombies I've ever seen on the show — one that looks like it stepped right out of Clive Barker's Hellraiser (see Exhibit A below). Also: Daryl (Norman Reedus) finally has his crossbow back. All's right with the world.
In the first featurette, showrunner Scott M. Gimple takes us through the new communities that populate the TV show's zombie-filled world. So far, viewers have come across the Hilltop, the Kingdom, Ocean Side, the Sanctuary and, of course, Alexandria.

As for the second one, it picks up right where we left off with Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the gang. I don't know about you, but I'm glad to see badass Rick re-emerge from under Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) shadow barbed-wired bat, Lucille.

The Walking Dead returns on Feb. 12 on AMC. Check out the videos below and let us know what you think.

Walking Dead Returns February 14, 2016

The Walking Dead (AMC) Sunday, 9 p.m. - "No Way Out"
Midseason premiere! - Well, The Walking Dead is back at long last, after what seemed like an eternal midseason hiatus, and we're promised some very big things. When we last left our survivors, Alexandria was overrun with walkers, and those who survived were relying on things like camouflage and careful hiding to get by. Now, we know by the midseason finale's teasers, they face a new threat: Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), the iconic comic-book villain responsible for some of the most brutal moments in the franchise's story so far. We don't yet know just how close the show will stick to Negan's comic-book story, or who will survive it, but that's part of the fun of watching. Check out a preview below.

What Do The W's On The Walkers Mean?

W o l v e s   N o t   F a r
[Source: ComicBook.com, ] In last night's episode of The Walking Dead, Rick, Daryl, and Carol noticed a "W" carved into the head of a walker. While this is the first time characters have noticed the symbol on a walker's head, it's not the first time the audience has seen it. A few weeks ago, in the episode titled, "What Happened and What's Going On" viewers first saw walkers with W's carved into their heads when a dozen or so limbless walkers spilled out from the back of a truck.

It seems obvious that W doesn't stand for "Walker," since every group of people has a different name for the zombies. I recently wrote an article which tied the W's to the Wolves we've been ominously teased, which I will reiterate along with introducing some other theories.

Wolves

The "Wolves" have been teased for a while now on the show. When the group ventured to Shirewilt Estates, Noah's old neighborhood, they found that it was destroyed. By the looks of things, a villainous group pillaged the community and killed the residents. The writing may have literally be on the walls though. In several places during this episode, the phrase, "Wolves Not Far" was seen spray painted on walls. This begs the questions, "who are the wolves?" While the Wolves are not a group in the comics, there are two groups that the producers could be renaming for the show to keep us guessing.

First, there's the DC Scavengers. The DC Scavengers only make it a few issues in the comics. They are the type of people the Alexandria Safe-Zone does not want to join the community and so they try to force their way in and take from them. This doesn't go well for them, though, as Rick and the group dispose of the threat quite quickly. It's more important in the long run though, because the gun fight causes a herd of walkers to flock to the Safe-Zone and claims a bunch of lives and Carl's eye.

Then, there's the possibility that the Wolves are the Saviors. In the comics, the Saviors are Negan's band of crazy men. They come into play much later than the point the show is at, though, and stick around for a few years. While it seems unlikely we'll meet TV's version of the Saviors very soon, it seems more fitting that the W's on the walker heads could tie to the Saviors. Negan, the group's ruthless leader, uses zombies as weapons in the comic series. He has some chained up outside of his Sanctuary and also covers his weapons in zombie gore so that one strike will claim his opposition's life.

Whisperers

This one seems like a long shot seeing as they were just recently introduced in the comics, which in TV terms are at least 2 seasons ahead of where the show is at now. The Whisperers are a group of people we still know little about, but we do know that they wear zombie masks and walk among them to survive. It is entirely possible that the show is planning or skipping ahead as we know they like to mix things up. Perhaps the W's on the walker heads are to notify their own people to the fact that those are, in fact, zombies and not fellow members of the group. We did hear from Morgan (when he seemed a little crazy), "People wearing dead people's faces," back in the episode "Clear." Maybe Kirkman and the rest of the writers are just planning far into the future.

What do you think the W's carved into the walker heads mean? Do you think they're linked to the Wolves that have been teased or do you think they're part of a different storyline? Let us know in the comment section below!

The Walking Dead Returns Tonight!

T H E   W A L K I N G   D E A D
"What Happened and What's Going On" (AMC) Sunday, 9 p.m.
Midseason premiere! - Finally, after more than two months away, The Walking Dead is back to start the second half of its fifth season. The season so far has already seen shocking deaths, intriguing teasers of what's to come and, of course, new ratings records, but if we know The Walking Dead that's all just the beginning. The midseason finale back in November saw the group rocked by the loss of someone close to them, but in this world, you have to keep fighting, and new dangers and opportunities for survival could always be right around the corner. What will Rick and the team face next? Who will stay and who will go? How high will the ratings climb this time around? We'll tune in and find out, as this week the group finds that a detour could have what they're searching for. Check out a preview below.

Walking Dead Season 4 Featurette

"It's every man for himself!"
[Source: Syfy.com] Next month, The Walking Dead will return with the second half of season four. The last time we saw the survivors, they were in complete disarray. The separation will play a huge part in the storyline for the upcoming episodes. AMC's released a featurette revealing how the characters are doing on the road.

Co-executive producer Denise Huth believes these episodes return to the core of the show. It's about the loss of family and, in some cases, humanity. "That's such a theme of the show over and over and over again," she said. "Whenever you create a home it will not last long. It will always change and you will suffer more loss. What will you do?"

Everyone's been separated, and most of them are on foot. They're in a weakened state, and we'll see them at their most vulnerable. One thing we found interesting about this video are the pairings, or should we say lack thereof. In the midseason finale, it looked as if everyone got into smaller groups and left. But in the featurette a lot of people are alone. Maggie, Michonne, Daryl, etc.

The producers also pose the question "Will they or won't they cross paths?"

Walking Dead and Toy Story are the Same

    Here's the Proof:
    • Reddit user JimmyLegs50 realized that these two disparate pieces of entertainment actually have much more in common than we ever guessed, and he did a series of more than three dozen side-by-side comparisons to prove it. Obviously not everything matches up perfectly (Woody doesn't straight-up murder Buzz, after all), but there are enough strange parallels to make us imagine an animated Walking Dead adventure starring Woody the Sheriff. Pixar would probably design some adorable intestines. Here are a few of our favorite comparisons and put them in the gallery below. You can check out the whole thing here (obviously, major spoilers for both Toy Story and The Walking Dead).

The Walking Dead Returns Feb. 10 at 9/8c

    Season Three Mid-Season Premiere
    • The Walkers are the least of the survivor's troubles when this series returns with the second half of the season. It looks like we're headed for one big battle as Rick and his gang try to figure out what to do about the missing Daryl. Meanwhile, the Governor and Woodbury try to recover from the attack.
