BLADE the Animated Series

Blade - Anime-style
G4 and Marvel announced that G4 will premiere Marvel's anime series Blade on January 13. Marvel announced at the New York Comic Con in October that Harold Perrineau will play title character.

The story revolves around Blade, a "Daywalker" vampire hunter who was born with vampire and human blood after a vampire attacked his mother. While visiting Japan on a mission, Blade tracks down Deacon Frost, the vampire who killed his mother. Blade confronts "Existence," a mysterious organization composed of vampires modified by Frost.

The 12-episode Blade series aired on Japanese television from July 1 to September 16. Directed by Mitsuyuki Masuhara, the anime is one installment of a four-part collaboration between Marvel Comics and Madhouse Studios, which also includes the Iron Man, Wolverine, and X-Men anime series. G4 already ran Marvel's Iron Man and Wolverine anime this past summer. The channel launched the X-Men anime on October 21.
