26 years ago, in a third-year classroom of a middle school, there was a student named Misaki. As an honors student who was also good at sports, the charming girl was popular with her classmates. When she suddenly died, her classmates decided to carry on as if she was still alive until graduation. Then, in the spring of 1998, a boy named Kouichi Sakakibara transfers to that classroom, and he grows suspicious of the fearful atmosphere in that classroom. In particular, there is a beautiful, aloof girl named Misaki Mei who wears an eyepatch and is always alone drawing pictures.

The site confirmed that the anime will be a television project which will premiere 2012. Tsutomu Mizushima (Blood-c, XXXHolic) will be the director of the anime from Studio P.A. Works, with the character design by Noizi Ito (Haruhi Suzumiya, Shakugan No Shana). Script by Ryou Higaki (Moribito - Guardian Of The Spirit) and Yuriko Ishii (Persona-Trinity-Soul). ALI PROJECT clusters and performing songs Annabel for both the opening and ending of Another.
Also revealed the main cast of voices for this series:

• Natsumi Takamori as Mei Misaki
• Ai Nonaka as Sakuragi Yukari
• Hiroaki Hirata as Tatsuji
• Kazutomi Yamamoto as Mochizuki
