Apparently, the name of the "headless girl" is Maya. She was trick or treating in a village somewhere in Parañaque, and her mother Krystel Hwang made her costume. 

Speaking to GMA News Online, Krystel shared how it only took her two days to create the costume. "I used [mostly] duct tape and paper," she said, adding both her daughters, 2-year-old Maya and 6-year-old Charlie, were actually involved in the creation of their costumes. 

"They watch YouTube, and so Halloween videos are going viral these days, so they know. I actually get ideas from them. They have an input. You'd be surprised," Krystel said, adding she didn't have a hard time dressing Maya up because "she saw me make it." 

"I like that they're not scared of it — tumatapang ang luob. They know it's just makeup. That way, hindi sila takot [when watching scary movies]," the stay-at-home mom and home baker continued. 

She's been making costumes for her elder daughter Charlie since she could participate in Halloween six years ago, and when she had Maya, the mom and her daughters continued their growing tradition. 

Krystel's video has been viewed more than 10,000,000 times, and along the songs of praises, it's also generated a few criticisms. 

But the creative mom won't be put down. "You know, Halloween is really for fun. I'm not pushing my kids toward darkness. It's a chance for us to have fun. I get ideas from them, and they get to be creative." 

In case anybody's asking, Maya and Charlie attended two Halloween parties that weekend, and yes. They won best in costume.

Build Your Child Best Stormtrooper Costume Ever

Store-bought costumes are always a bit... lacking, so when TJ Maggio came across Jakk Pacific’s 48 inch First Order Stormtrooper, and that it was the same height as his son, he saw the potential for a really spectacular halloween costume.

The $99 toy is enormous, and with a little work, it can be made into a fully functional Stormtrooper costume for a kid that’s around the 48 inch mark. 

 

Watching the video, it looks like it’s a pretty simple process: cut off the arms and the legs. The toy itself is made from injection-molded plastic and is hollow, so all that really needs to be done is to remove the extra plastic between each armored part and on the inside. 

 

To attach each part so that it didn’t fall off, he used industrial velcro:

I used industrial velcro, cut to size and lengths to make it happen. In this case the shoulder/bicep is hanging from “garter” velcro attached underside of the chest and back plate shoulder.

The end result? One helluva costume and one very happy kid.

[Source: Yahoo!News] In 2011, when the New 52 was announced, among the many uncertainties about the future of the DC universe was one small detail that most folks have probably forgotten about by now. It was entirely unclear whether Wonder Woman would be wearing pants. 

In the first image of the new Justice League line-up in their redesigned costumes, she was. When the cover of the newly renumbered Wonder Woman #1 was revealed, she was. In a small panel in the corner of some free promotional material... she wasn't. Her costume ended in a familiar leotard bottom. When questioned, DC Comics responded that the pants-less costume was actually her official look, and presumably hoped that no one would ask any questions about why she'd been depicted in pants or when the decision had been made to strip her of them. Or, indeed, why any pants-related decisions hadn't been firmly made in the months of time leading up to the announcement of the New 52. 

Personally, I'm staunchly Pants Positive, Strapless Negative. Which is why I'm hoping this new costume, which was designed by current Wonder Woman artist David Finch and will be debuting along with DC's announced new direction with June's Wonder Woman #41, isn't just a gimmick or temporary battle armor. It should stick around.
