Grouch (Joker Parody) - SNL
GROUCH
Saturday Night Live, October 12, 2019, featured a digital short starring host, David Harbour (STRANGER THINGS) as a humanized version of Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street. The only twist? It was a dark, gritty version of Oscar in the exact same vein as Todd Phillips' JOKER (which is currently making a killing at the box office). The parody, titled GROUCH, is spot-on and hilariously infuses all the other famous Sesame Street characters in wonderfully wrong ways!
for the next gritty antihero origin story.

JOKER - Final Trailer
* J * O * K * E * R *
“Joker” centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone fictional story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck, who is indelibly portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix, is of a man struggling to find his way in Gotham’s fractured society. A clown-for-hire by day, he aspires to be a stand-up comic at night…but finds the joke always seems to be on him. Caught in a cyclical existence between apathy and cruelty, Arthur makes one bad decision that brings about a chain reaction of escalating events in this gritty character study.
Three-time Oscar nominee Phoenix (“The Master,” “Walk the Line,” “Gladiator”) stars in the titular role alongside Oscar winner Robert De Niro (“Raging Bull,” “The Godfather: Part II”) as Franklin.

Director David Ayer tweeted the pic on Thursday, which shows Leto donning the Joker’s signature green hair and holding a camera, a reference to the cover of Batman: The Killing Joke, one of the most critically-acclaimed graphic novels featuring the famous villain.
