The Animatrix Network is an anime & manga fan club located in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. We usually meet on the third Saturday of each month (except when holidays or conventions coincide). The meetings are free and open to the public. Join us for a day filled with anime.

This site provides news, reviews, commentaries, and previews of the world of anime and everything it inspires, such as live-action films, comics, music, art, and other weird things to enjoy and contemplate.

Even Superheroes Have Pets

SUPERPETS
Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart voice Krypto the Superdog and Ace the Bat-Hound, respectively, in the upcoming animated movie DC League of Super-Pets. The stellar voice cast also includes Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, Keanu Reeves, and Marc Maron as Lex Luthor. Jared Stern wrote and directed DC League of Super-Pets, which is scheduled to open in theaters on May 20, 2022.

The Secret Life of Pets Sequel

The Secret Life of Pets 2
The Secret Life of Pets 2 will follow summer 2016’s blockbuster about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day. Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and his longtime collaborator Janet Healy will produce the sequel to the comedy that had the best opening ever for an original film, animated or otherwise. 

The Secret Life of Pets 2 will see the return of writer Brian Lynch (Minions) and once again be directed by Chris Renaud (Despicable Me series, Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax).
