Plot Summary: [Source: Wikipedia] It centers around the crime fighting organization "Libra" and their battles in Jerusalem's Lot, formerly known as New York City. Jerusalem's Lot was created in a single night when a portal to the "Beyond" opened, and now it is a paranormal melting pot of monsters, magic and the everyday mundane city life. It's up to Libra to prevent the horrors of this city from spreading to the outside world.  Leonard Watch is a young man whose special power, the "All Seeing Eyes" catches the attention of Libra.

Later, the Vers Empire declared war on Earth, and in 1999, a battle on the Moon's surface caused the hypergate to explode, shattering the Moon and scattering remnants into a debris belt around the planet. Cut off from Mars, the remnants of the Vers Empire established several massive orbital space stations within the debris belt and a ceasefire was established. 15 years later, in 2014, an attack on the Vers princess during a peace mission causes the Empire to launch a new attack on Earth, this time determined to conquer it once and for all.

Plot Summary: [Source: Wikipedia] Parasyte centers around a 17-year-old teen named Shinichi Izumi, who lives with his mother and father in a quiet neighborhood in Tokyo. One night, worm-like aliens called Parasites invade Earth, taking over the brains of human hosts by entering through their ears or noses. One Parasite attempts to crawl into Shinichi's ear while he sleeps, but fails as Shinichi is wearing headphones, and enters his body by burrowing into his arm instead. In the Japanese version, it takes over his right hand and is named Migi, after the Japanese word for 'right'; Tokyopop's version, in which the images are flipped horizontally, has the Parasite take over Shinichi's left hand and it is named Lefty. Because Shinichi was able to prevent Migi from travelling further up into his brain, both beings retain their separate intellect and personality. As the duo encounter other Parasites, they capitalize on their strange situation and gradually form a strong bond, working together to survive. This gives them an edge in battling other Parasites who frequently attack the pair upon realization that Shinichi's human brain is still intact. Shinichi feels compelled to fight other Parasites, who devour humans as food, while enlisting Migi's help.

Plot Summary: [Source: Wikipedia] In an alternate world, a small percentage of children are able to manifest superpowers upon reaching puberty. Yuu Otosaka, a boy who awakens the ability to temporarily possess others, hopes to use his power to live an easy going high school life. However, he is caught red-handed by the mysterious Nao Tomori and is forced to transfer to Hoshinoumi Academy (星ノ海学園 Hoshinoumi Gakuen^?, "Star Ocean Academy"), where he and the other student council members must help students with abilities.

Plot Summary: [Source: Wikipedia] The series revolves around two "Handymen" who take on jobs for both the mob and the police force that no one else can handle. The two, named Worick Arcangelo and Nicolas Brown, work in the town of Ergastulum, which is full of mafia, hoodlums, prostitutes, and dirty cops. Worick wakes up from a dream of Nic killing his father. Since Worick has to work his other job, Alex and Nic leave to make deliveries for Dr. Theo. Nic explains to Alex that Worick is a gigolo. While making a delivery to Joel, Alex sees a newspaper featuring an article about the killing of the Arcangelo family twenty-two years ago and the kidnapping of their youngest son. Worick then joins them after finishing with his customer. They make a delivery to Monroe, who asks Nic to come back to the mafia, but Nic refuses. Next they deliver a batch of Twilight drugs to the madam of the brothel where Worick used to work. Before they leave, Alex sees Nic in a room with a mysterious woman. The next day, Worick and Alex talk about his past and his job as a gigolo. The episode ends with both Nic and Worick having a flashback to their childhood. Chad summons Nic and Worick to the police station to help identify a pile of mangled bodies found in District 6. Worick identifies them using his photographic memory. Chad then receives a call from Monroe, who asks him to send the Handymen over to help in a gang war he is involved in. Monroe and his men are then attacked by a knife-wielding Twilight of the same rank as Nic, who kills many of them. Nic arrives to fight the Twilight, and Monroe asks his men if they want to place bets on who will win. Worick and Nic's backstory is interspersed with the events of the episode, showing Nic being hired as a mercenary bodygaurd for Worick, who is at first outraged that his bodyguard is disabled while the rest of his family's bodyguards are not. However, he soon comes to empathize with Nic. Meanwhile, Alex hallucinates Barry's bloody and animate corpse when faced with the dilemma of staying with the Handymen or living on her own.

Plot Summary: [Source: Wikipedia] Hamaji is a strong and independent girl who lives alone in the mountains. Surviving as a hunter just like her grandfather, she one day receives a letter from her brother who lives in the city of Edo. He wants her help in hunting "fuse", half-human half-dog beings who consume human souls. Reaching the big city, she gets lost and ends up meeting Shino, a fuse. The two begin an unusual friendship: the hunter and the hunted.

Christina Ricci as Morticia Addams

She’s creepy and she’s kooky, mysterious and spooky - and, on this evidence, she’s every bit as good a fit for the role of ‘The Addams Family’s matriarch as she was for their daughter. Social media has been going gaga for this photoshopped image of Christina Ricci as Morticia Addams (based around a publicity still of Anjelica Huston from the 1990s, as shown below).

Still, the image certainly gives pause for thought for how well suited Ricci would be for the role of Morticia, should a new big screen take on ‘The Addams Family’ ever be on the cards.

An eleven year old Ricci became an overnight sensation thanks to her scene-stealing performance as the gloomy, potentially psychotic Wednesday Addams in the 1991 movie of ‘The Addams Family,’ based on the 1960s TV series and the original Charles Addams cartoon strips,

She went on to appear alongside Johnny Depp in 1999′s ‘Sleepy Hollow,’ and has recently went Gothic once more for TV mini-series ‘The Lizzy Borden Chronicles.’ No live action reboot of ‘The Addams Family’ is thought to be in the works at present, but there has been word of a new animated movie featuring the characters.

The Last Witch Hunter - New Trailer

Return of the Clones - Star Wars Rebels

RETURN OF THE CLONES

Clone troopers were first introduced in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones as highly-skilled combatants that followed any order without questioning its morality. But that has slowly changed over the years, most notably with the character of Captain Rex in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Now everyone’s favorite clone is set to make his debut in Star Wars Rebels, and alongside him are two more Republic veterans who also don’t exactly see eye-to-eye with the Empire.

Dave Filoni, executive producer of Star Wars Rebels, talks at length about the grizzled soldiers that Ahsoka Tano sent the Ghost crew to look for and who will eventually come into conflict with Kanan -- the fugitive Jedi who watched so many of his friends die at the hands of clone troopers during Order 66.

Veteran Star Wars actor Dee Bradley Baker discusses the challenge of playing three different characters with conflicting personalities, and what he brought to each voice to make them stand out as individuals.

Attack on Titan for Sony PlayStation

[Source: blastr.com] Here's a peasant-swallowing, appendage-amputating preview of the upcoming Attack on Titan videogame by Koei Tecmo, based on the insanely popular Attack on Titan anime empire.  The savagery and blood of the series has been injected into this gory gaming adaptation, with rampaging Titans under attack from airborne squads of lethal, sword-slashing scouts from the Survey Corp.

"Having evolved from a manga/anime series to an internationally recognized brand, we were enchanted by the opportunity to create our own take on humanity's last stand against these overwhelmingly powerful beings, the Titans," said KT president Hisashi Koinuma last month.  "Our studios are already pouring all of their passion and excitement into it, and we hope to reveal more information soon!"

Giant Straw Dinosaurs Invade Japanese Fields

Niigata Prefecture, Japan, has thought of a novel way to use the straw left over from their rice harvest. A “wara” or rice-straw festival is held every August 31st, where local artists build elaborate straw sculptures over wooden frames. The frames allow the statues to be larger and let spectators interact with them.

Illustrator Joel Santana asked himself: What would Disney princesses look like as tattooed pin-up girls? The results are fabulous. Each girl is a sexy, confident, modern-day boss-princess. The best part, though, is Santana keeps the girls true to themselves; their tattoos even give subtle nods to their individual stories. Here are the princesses he’s drawn so far.

Pin-up Belle is still a voracious reader, and gold is still her color. Her ink is heavy on roses, which makes perfect sense, given the enchanted rose from the Beauty and the Beast story. We also spot a clock, a candle and a teapot on her arms. And, it’s likely no coincidence the man behind her art is very beast-like.

This Snow White has her own magic mirror AND her own poisoned apple. The Seven Dwarfs are nowhere to be seen in the setting, but S.W. is an independent woman these days. The dwarves are, however, represented on her arm with a simple number ‘7’ and a blink-or-you’ll-miss-it diamond. Oh, and she’s totally rocking that purple streak in her hair.

Ariel is still Ariel, with her bright red hair, purple bra and green bottoms. Despite her lack of fins, she still has a mermaid-like elegance. Ariel’s stayed true to her roots with a crab tattoo and music notes — she’s probably still got a fabulous set of pipes, natch.

Entering its 14th season, FAMILY GUY continues to entertain its die-hard fan base with razor-sharp humor, spot-on parodies, spectacular animation and orchestra-backed original music. Since its debut, the series has reached cult status among fans, and its breakout star, a talking baby, has become one of the greatest TV characters of all time. Meanwhile, the family dog’s untimely death (and resurrection!) made worldwide news. FAMILY GUY has racked up numerous awards, including an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series, only the second animated series in television history to be honored with such a distinction. The series’ creator and lead voice actor, Seth MacFarlane (voice of “Brian Griffin,” “Peter Griffin” and “Stewie Griffin”), recently received a 2014 Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance.

Nintendo is bringing Pokémon to the real world

[Source: BusinessInsider] It's every Pokémon fan's fantasy. What if your Pokémon weren't restricted to the glowing rectangle in your palm or on your television screen, but were out roaming through the world?

Nintendo just announced "Pokémon Go," an augmented reality game for Android and iOS to be released in 2016. Players will be able to catch, battle, and trade Pokémon in the real world. Location-based technology will ensure that specific Pokémon are only found in certain places, just like the other games in the franchise.

"Pokémon Go" will be free to start but may have in-app purchases.

Nintendo also made a Bluetooth gadget called Pokémon Go Plus. The gadget offers features that will make playing the game smoother and will let you play without having to look at your phone. Pokémon Go Plus will "glow and vibrate when you walk somewhere in the real world that corresponds with somewhere in Pokémon Go's virtual world," according to The Verge.

To develop the game, Nintendo partnered with Niantic Labs, the Alphabet-owned company behind the location-based augmented reality game "Ingress." Last week, Nintendo also released "Pokémon Shuffle," another Pokémon game for Android and iOS.

As with the other action RPGs, Asker Online focuses on the combat system with spectacular combo chains, interactive environments and even physical effects. Through the trailer, you can see the Asker gameplay mechanics: The Light Swallowers somewhat more realistic than the game of the same genre.

Some winter nights, the Desert "B" sees huge resurgence of carnivorous grass fields. An image is formed in the mind of the warrior: that of a woman at the seaside. The animal's fate hangs by a dream...

Episode 7 - The Lost City
Arzak is walking in the streets of a ruined city without meeting a soul. Around him, everything is abandoned skyscrapers, rusted car bodies, apartments immersed in silence. The city appears deserted until the warrior hears a mysterious voice singing an old tune...

Episode 8 - The Ninth Goddess
Arzak travels aboard a spaceship on the orders of two aliens: Delano and Xnobol. Inside, the warrior discovered a sarcophagus containing a goddess struck by a serious illness. Guided by the instructions and Xnobol Delano, with competing theories, Arzak will try to save the entity...

Episode 9 - The head of the Warrior
Arzak is resting at the Inn of the Green Mountains along with Pearl, a very attractive young woman. But the warrior did not suspect that his girlfriend is acting on behalf of a power hungry alien. This is the King, and he is assisted by his mad scientist-sorcerer. Has she put a price on Arzak's head?

Episode 10 - The Cloud Tower
Without the new guardian of the Cloud Tower to protect it, Arzak decides to go there. Once inside, he discovers that the time has stopped. Even Baluga, the robot concierge, has broke down. But where is the Mistress? Is the tower occupied by an invisible force?

Episode 11 - Noshka
Noshka, the secret soul of the Desert "B", was abducted by a monstrous Jinn. Arzak is charged by the Governor Block to rescue her with the aid of a magical key to open parallel dimensions, except that the key is hanging on the neck of the sleeping monster. Will Arzak retrieve it and deliver Noshka from the claws of the monster?

Episode 12 - The Gamesman
Seeking the release from a labyrinth in which he is a prisoner, Arzak came face to face with dangerous creatures. Fortunately, the last of Ptéroguerriers still has his sword. The fights continue until Arzak is seriously injured. Do unseen forces control our hero?

Episode 13 - The Ring of Broken Hearts
Flying on a rainy night over the carnivorous grass fields, Arzak seeks shelter. A ring-shaped stone broken construction, appears in the middle of the deadly plants. Tired, Arzak decided to establish his camp. But the night is long and our hero should not fall asleep too easily...

Episode 14 - The Secret of the Unicorns
Arzak wakes with a start. He has just seen his own death in a terrible nightmare. He must seek advice from the unicorns before it is too late. Our hero soon finds himself on board a strange ship en route to a parallel world. Will it change the course of his destiny?

Director Eric Demeusy has an idea he’d like to show you.

Demeusy has made a short, stunning fan-trailer for a Boba Fett movie he’s calling Star Wars: The New Republic Anthology. In this hypothetical film, Fett escapes the Sarlacc Pit and “finds himself fighting alongside the Rebellion to establish a New Republic.” But honestly, that doesn’t matter.

What matters is the trailer itself, which uses elements of Return of the Jedi but then takes things a step further to show Fett walking the deserts of Tatooine, looking for his ship Slave 1, ready to get back into the fight.

 

As for the official Boba Fett movie, when that happens, it’s unclear how it’ll work. It could either take place after Return of the Jedi—with Fett escaping the Sarlacc Pit as seen here—or if that did kill him, the movie could take place before that. We’ve actually already seen some new Fett action in the new Star Wars canon and it was before his encounter with the Sarlacc. He fought Luke Skywalker in Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Tatooine hut before The Empire Strikes Back and then informed Darth Vader that Skywalker was the one who destroyed the Death Star. News that Vader took a little harder and deeper than Fett probably expected. (Those both happened in the Marvel Star Wars comic book, by the way.)

Considering the crazy amount of stories happening in the Star Wars canon before A New Hope, you’d tend to imagine the eventual Boba Fett movie will follow Demeusy’s lead here and take place pre-Force Awakens. But only that film’s probable writer, Simon Kinberg, really knows for sure.

I love this trailer though. After decades of imagining what may have happened after Fett fell into the Sarlacc, to actually see it—even if it’s not official—is crazy cool.

[By Rachel and Jun] We went with Sharla and Chris to the Fox Village at Mt. Zao!! It was the most incredible place I've been in my life! I highly, highly recommend this for anyone visiting Japan. However, getting there is a bit tricky! You either need to drive a car, take an expensive taxi, or catch a questionable ride on a city bus in a city southwest of Sendai called Shiroishi. The details are on the website (in Japanese). The bus costs 200 yen and doesn't actually stop at Fox Village, so apparently you need to tell the driver to stop there AND pick you up again on the way back, lol. Good luck adventuring?!

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

[Source: Yahoo!Games] Shooting recently wrapped on the next Captain America movie, and now some promo art has emerged, revealing new information about the film.

Captain America: Civil War will tell the story of the conflict between Captain America and Iron Man, following government registration of superhero activity. These new images show exactly how the various heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will side when the two factions go to war. Check out the images below:

Iron Man, who favors registration, has War Machine, Black Panther, The Vision, and Black Widow to fight on his side. On the other, Captain America is backed by Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Winter Soldier, Falcon, and SHIELD agent Sharon Carter. The big omission here is Spider-Man, who will be making his Marvel Universe debut in Civil War.

The film is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, who helped turn the second Captain America movie, 2014's The Winter Soldier, into a $700 million smash. It stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey, Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, and Paul Rudd and hits cinemas on May 6, 2016.

New Teaser Trailer for Star Wars VII

[Source: Yahoo!Movies] A new teaser has debuted for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” featuring John Boyega’s character, Finn, wielding a blue lightsaber as he appears to face off with Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren in a continuation of the much-discussed scene from the first “Force Awakens” trailer, which introduced the concept of a crossguard lightsaber to a galaxy far, far away.

The video dropped on Instagram as a demonstration of the platform’s newly introduced landscape and portrait orientation options for photos and videos.

Driver’s enigmatic character has inspired plenty of speculation in the lead-up to the release of “Episode VII,” with reports revealing that his character is not a Sith in the vein of Darth Vader or Darth Maul — instead, Kylo Ren is a member of an order known as the Knights of Ren, who built his unorthodox weapon from scratch.

“The movie explains the origins of [Kylo Ren’s] mask and where it’s from, but the design was meant to be a nod to the Vader mask. [Ren] is well aware of what’s come before, and that’s very much a part of the story of the film,” director J.J. Abrams recently explained.

Ren works under Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis), described by Abrams as “a powerful figure on the Dark Side of the Force,” who provides the ominous voiceover for the Instagram teaser.

“The Force Awakens” bows in theaters on Dec. 18. “Jurassic World” helmer Colin Trevorrow was recently announced as the director for “Star Wars: Episode IX” during Disney’s D23 Expo, with Rian Johnson previously confirmed as the writer and director for “Episode VIII,” which is scheduled for for release on May 26, 2017. “Episode IX” is scheduled for release in 2019, while a Han Solo origin film, directed by “The Lego Movie” and “21 Jump Street” helmers Chris Miller and Phil Lord, will bow in theaters on May 25, 2018. The first standalone film in the franchise, “Star Wars: Rogue One,” will debut on December 16, 2016, and is directed by “Godzilla’s” Gareth Edwards.
