CGI Animation: "Catzilla Short" by Platige Image

C A T Z I L L A
Catzilla a realtime PC benchmark. It was made with a nice collaboration with Platige Image. Plastic Demoscene Group did the code, they did the art. The music was made exclusively by Bent ‘subsquare’ Stamnes.

The main idea of the project was to develop an antithesis of other benchmark productions which are mostly boring and aesthetically weak. Michał Staniszewski from the demoscene Plastic group came to us with a draft of an interesting, action-filled story with a unique design and aesthetics that would be as close as possible to an animated movie on one hand and to a video game on the other.

Legend of Korra Comic Book Series Coming Soon

Dark Horse Announces Release Date
For Legend Of Korra Comic Series
[Source: ToonZone] Dark Horse Comics has assured us that the Korra comic project (which was announced last year) is not dead, and released some fresh details today. Like their long-running Avatar series, the Korra comic will tell stories in three mini-novel installments before being published in one big volume. The first of these will be called “Turf Wars.”

The turf in question is the land that the new Spirit Portal is resting on. When Korra and Asami return, they find that it’s causing new problems for residents living around it, and worse yet, a greedy developer wants to make the portal the center of a new amusement park. Michael Dante DiMartino, co-creator of all elemental bending, will personally be writing the script, with feedback from Bryan Konietzko. The art will be handed by Irene Koh.

“Korra has to figure out how to find a new balance in the city with all this stuff that’s gone on,” DiMartino said to EW. “It’s gonna take place right after the finale, so it’s focusing on Korra and Asami’s relationship as a new threat emerges. It’s kind of like the aftermath dealing with the new portal in the city, and all the evacuees coming back to find their homes wiped out cause of the portal.”

The bad news is that we’re going to have to wait even longer to start reading this; the first chapter isn’t due out until June of 2017. But once that date rolls around, you won’t have to rely on fan comics anymore to get your Korrasami fix.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

Dead Men Tell No Tales
Johnny Depp returns to the big screen as the iconic, swashbuckling anti-hero Jack Sparrow in the all-new “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.” The rip-roaring adventure finds down-on-his-luck Captain Jack feeling the winds of ill-fortune blowing strongly his way when deadly ghost sailors, led by the terrifying Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil's Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea—notably Jack. Jack's only hope of survival lies in the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it he must forge an uneasy alliance with Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario), a brilliant and beautiful astronomer, and Henry (Brenton Thwaites), a headstrong young sailor in the Royal Navy. At the helm of the Dying Gull, his pitifully small and shabby ship, Captain Jack seeks not only to reverse his recent spate of ill fortune, but to save his very life from the most formidable and malicious foe he has ever faced.

Voltron Season 2 Trailer

V O L T R O N
When Netflix launched its English-language reboot of the 1980s anime series Voltron, fans had a lot of obvious questions, most of which boiled down to "How closely will this new series follow the old one?" So far, the answer has been "Closely enough to satisfy old-school fans, but not so closely that it feels dated or rigid." The new series is big, bright, and modern, with slick animation and a lot of up-to-date humor. The first season ended on a cliffhanger, with the pilots defeated and scattered after a disastrous battle with their enemies. The second season seems like it's going to follow through on all the ways their situation could get worse before it gets better. Netflix's first round of episodes for Voltron: Legendary Defender debuted on June 10th, 2016, and the second batch is reportedly due later this year.

The Animated Adventures of Indiana Jones

The Adventures of Indiana Jones
Artist Patrick Schoenmaker has spent his free time over the past five years putting together a concept trailer for a nonexistent animated series based on Indiana Jones. He’s finally finished, and we’re happy to report it was definitely worth the wait.

This animated version of Indy goes on a globetrotting adventure, facing off against everything from Nazis to ancient tribes to the love of his life (and even a classroom full of students). He positively nails the action and vibe (it almost has a Jonny Quest type of feel), and it’s all tied together with the John Williams score you’ve almost certainly come to expect. Schoenmaker has named the project simply The Adventures of Indiana Jones, and it lives up to the billing.

Famous archaeologist Dr. Indiana Jones is on a quest of a lifetime, but this time he is fully animated in this passion project by life long fan and artist Patrick Schoenmaker. Over the course of 5 years, he has crafted the opening sequence of what would be the tv series to make all other tv shows redundant: "The Adventures of Indiana Jones"!

Regular Show in Space

REGULAR SHOW RETURNS
The series revolves around the daily lives of two 23-year-old friends, Mordecai—a blue jay, and Rigby—a raccoon. They work as groundskeepers at a park, and spend their days trying to avoid work and entertain themselves by any means.[8] This is much to the chagrin of their manager/boss Benson—a gumball machine and their coworker Skips—a yeti, but to the delight of their (other) manager/boss Pops—a man with a lollipop for a head. Other coworkers include an overweight green man called Muscle Man, and a ghost called Hi-Five Ghost.

MOANA's New Trailer

Watch the brand new trailer for Disney’s Moana! See the film, starring Dwayne The Rock Johnson and Auli'i Cravalho, in theatres in 3D this Thanksgiving!

Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped – and no one knows why.

From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity. Directed by the renowned filmmaking team of Ron Clements and John Musker (“The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” “The Princess & the Frog”) and produced by Osnat Shurer (“Lifted,” “One Man Band”), “Moana” sails into U.S. theaters on Nov. 23, 2016.
