- The Animatrix Network:
A Legacy of Anime, Art, and CommunityIn the heart of the Southwest suburbs of Chicago, a vibrant and welcoming community has quietly flourished for decades—united not by geography, politics, or profession, but by passion. That passion is anime. Since its founding, The Animatrix Network has stood as a shining beacon for fans of anime, manga, and the rich tapestry of culture and creativity that springs from it.
Meeting monthly on the third Saturday, the club offers more than just screenings and discussions—it offers connection. Whether you’re a long-time otaku or a newcomer eager to learn what anime is all about, The Animatrix Network welcomes you with open arms. The meetings are always free and open to the public, creating an inclusive space where people of all ages and backgrounds can gather to celebrate shared interests, discover hidden gems, and make lasting friendships.
But Animatrix is more than just a fan club—it’s a living archive of imagination. Its online presence provides news, reviews, commentaries, and previews that explore not only anime and manga but also the broader worlds they influence. From live-action adaptations and comic books to music, avant-garde art, and the delightfully strange, Animatrix celebrates the ripple effect anime has had on global culture.
What makes The Animatrix Network truly special is its enduring spirit. In a world where digital interactions often replace face-to-face experiences, this group continues to offer a space for real community—laughter shared during a climactic scene, debates over character arcs, and the simple joy of discovering something new together.
So if you ever find yourself in the suburbs of Chicago on a quiet Saturday, consider stopping by. You may just find yourself transported—not just by the anime on screen, but by the incredible people in the room.
Come for the anime. Stay for the community. Discover something unforgettable.

- Age Group
- 18-years-old and above
- Due to the graphic nature of some of the anime we screen at the club, we highly suggest that those who attend be of a mature, open, and consenting mind. Most of the anime we present are for general audiences. Some are family-oriented, while others may contain adult language, violence, and nudity. We do try to provide as much information about any anime we schedule for each meeting but make no guarantees about the mature material it may contain within. Expect the unexpected.
