A Sci-Fi Short Film: "LONE" - by Timothy Plain

Enjoy this CGI Animated short about an astronaut who embarks on a deep-space mission to find life on another planet. This film was painstakingly pieced together by a small team of artists working for Goodby Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco. This same team also worked together on Photoshop’s 25th Anniversary commercial which won three prizes at Cannes and was nominated for an Emmy in 2015. Credits: "Lone" is a short film written and directed by Timothy Plain, starring Tod Puckett and animated by Conrad McLeod, Chris Kelly, Colin Trentor, Nathan Shipley, Chris Carmichael, Mike Landry and Justin Steele. Music by Vincent Pedulla. Sound Design by Dave Baker.

Bloody Cuts return with a frightful Christmas cracker of festive catastrophe, as Oliver Ebsworth, Sian Breckin and Jonah Russell deliver to you Episode 9: “Deathly Presents”. This year we’ve cooked up a Christmas pudding of pleasurable pain in association with RØDE Microphones, marking a reiginiton of the Bloody Cuts series.

Syfy Channel's "The Expanse"

T H E   E X P A N S E

The Expanse follows the case of a missing young woman who brings a hardened detective and a rogue ship’s captain together in a race across the solar system to expose the greatest conspiracy in human history. The episodes are available at Syfy.com, as well as on demand cable, satellite and telco platforms. The early release episodes are scheduled to air December 22 and 29. Said Sara Moscowitz, Senior Vice President, Brand and Strategic Marketing, Syfy:  “By giving viewers the opportunity to watch Episodes 3 and 4 early, we’re not only providing a little holiday gift for the series’ existing fans, but we’re also allowing new viewers who’ve heard about THE EXPANSE to catch up on the series,” Sara Moscowitz, Senior Vice President, Brand and Strategic Marketing at Syfy, said. “With the potential to hook a broad audience over the holidays, we hope to debut Episode 5 to a committed, passionate fan base on January 5.” The Expanse airs regularly on Syfy on Tuesday nights.

Plot Summary: [Source: Wikipedia] The story takes place in the fictional Japanese metropolis of City Z. The world is full of strange monsters that mysteriously appear and cause disasters. Saitama, the protagonist, is an exceptionally powerful hero who easily defeats the monsters or other villains with a single punch. However, due to his overwhelming strength, Saitama has become bored with his powers and is constantly trying to find stronger opponents who can fight him. On his adventures, he meets new friends, enemies, and his own disciple, the cyborg Genos, and joins the Heroes Association in order to gain fame for all of his efforts to defeat evil. Despite defeating many strong monsters that even the Heroes Association’s top members are unable to defeat, Saitama struggles to gain respect. Most people look down on him due to his plain physical appearance, and some accuse him of being a counterfeit hero. Only a small number of individuals recognize his incredible talent and humility towards others.

As they prepare for battle against Kuiba, Manji and Master man not only encounter a variety of dynamic characters, but also encounter a beast which will prove if they are ready for the challenges ahead that lay ahead.

Plot Summary: [Source: Wikipedia] The story revolves around Noel, a young girl who works at the North Pole as an apprentice Tonttu, which here is an assistance role helping wrap and prepare presents for delivery. After an incident the previous year, she has until dawn of Christmas Day to become a full-fledged Tonttu, but if she screws up she will lose her job and have to leave her friends behind. Unfortunately, no one can tell her how one graduates from apprenticeship, except that she needs to be able to "pass the exam" and be able to say just what the most important task of the Santas is. Late on Christmas Eve, a single request is received, but it is too late to deliver the gift. Desperate to be sure that child's present is delivered, Noel pulls her friends together for a desperate mission, taking the last remaining sleigh with her friends, at risk of her job and her whole life at the Pole.
