Featuring plenty of action scenes (and explosions!) sprinkled with the humor that is the staple of J.J. Abrams’ reboot of the beloved sci-fi franchise, the first trailer features a lot of Sofia Boutella’s mysterious alien, as well as what could be Idris Elba's Star Trek Big Bad. Directed by Justin Lin, with a script by cast member Simon Pegg and Doug Jung, Star Trek Beyond stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Simon Pegg, Sofia Boutella and Idris Elba.
