The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies Trailer
The Hobbit:
The Battle of the Five Armies
From Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson comes “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies,” the third in a trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien.
“The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” brings to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield and the Company of Dwarves. Having reclaimed their homeland from the Dragon Smaug, the Company has unwittingly unleashed a deadly force into the world. Enraged, Smaug rains his fiery wrath down upon the defenseless men, women and children of Lake-town.
Obsessed above all else with his reclaimed treasure, Thorin sacrifices friendship and honor to hoard it as Bilbo’s frantic attempts to make him see reason drive the Hobbit towards a desperate and dangerous choice. But there are even greater dangers ahead. Unseen by any but the Wizard Gandalf, the great enemy Sauron has sent forth legions of Orcs in a stealth attack upon the Lonely Mountain.
As darkness converges on their escalating conflict, the races of Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide – unite or be destroyed. Bilbo finds himself fighting for his life and the lives of his friends in the epic Battle of the Five Armies, as the future of Middle-earth hangs in the balance.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. adds a warrior princess
[Source: blastr.com] If you need a reason to watch Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., we may have found it. The ABC drama has pulled a major casting coup by hiring a genre favorite to appear on the upcoming season. According to TV Guide, Lucy Lawless will guest-star in what we expect to be a butt-kicking role.
As usual, Marvel's being tight-lipped about her character's identity. But TVLine suggests she may play “Mary Maloney.” Maloney is described as a highly skilled agent who can command any room (and boasts effortless sex appeal). She's expected to appear in a recurring capacity, which means this isn't a one-shot gig.
Lawless is best known for playing the title role in Xena: Warrior Princess, but her resume is filled with other notable titles. She was a series regular on Starz's Spartacus and appeared on Syfy's Battlestar Galactica. We can't wait to see what Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has in store for her.

Trailer for Ridley Scott's HALO: NIGHTFALL
San Diego Comic Con brought us a reveal trailer for HALO: NIGHTFALL, the Ridley Scott produced digital series which looks to be debuting in a few months (I believe the entirety of the series will also be available on the forthcoming MASTER CHIEF COLLECTION, which features next-genifications of previous games in the franchise). That particular release is slated for November 11.
