Meet the heroes of Big Hero 6

Watch 6 mins of new footage
Disney’s plan to fully capitalize on the Marvel license is in full swing, and the new kid-focused superhero team Big Hero 6 opens this weekend. Want a peek at the company’s newest, youngest heroes?

No, you won’t find Iron Man or Thor helping save San Fransokyo, but Baymax, Hiro and the gang look more than up to the task of taking on their own rogues gallery. We were a little iffy on this one when it entered development, since it was based on such a little-known series, but the more footage we see, the more excited we are to find out what the folks behind Wreck-It Ralph and Frozen can do with the superhero genre.

With the film opening wide this Friday, the studio has released a ton of new footage introducing the rest of the team and showing off some behind-the-scenes stuff for how they put it all together. It looks like a quirky, cuddly version of Avengers Lite.
