[Source: Esquire] Updates about Star Wars: The Force Awakens have arrived in a steady drip, but a new release of 12 photos and information in the new Entertainment Weekly is one of the biggest drops yet. The issue offers some new plot details on the long-awaited film, including that Leia is given Luke's lightsaber that was lost during the duel in The Empire Strikes Back.
Here's some of what we get a look at in the new batch of images.
[Source: Yahoo!News] Harry Potter fans are freaking out about a new theory that's been circulating on Tumblr. The theory will make you feel more wary about the Albus Dumbledore fans came to know and love.
Here's what you need to remember, before we tell you the theory.
The whole theory stems around the Tale of Three Brothers, a fairy tale told to Potter during the seventh and final book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."
To jog your memory, here's how the tale goes:
Three wizard brothers come to a river that's too treacherous to cross, so they make a bridge with their wands. But as they're crossing they're met by a hooded figure, Death, who is upset they've “cheated” him.
But Death, being cunning, acts like he's impressed. He offers them each a prize for outwitting him. The first brother asks for an extremely powerful wand — and so he is given the Elder Wand.
The second brother asks for the power to bring people back to life and is handed the resurrection stone.
The third brother, who senses that Death may have ulterior motives, asks for something that will allow him to move forward without being followed by Death himself. And so Death hands him an invisibility cloak that hides the wearer from even his own gaze.
For two of the three brothers, the story doesn't end well. The first brother is murdered over the Elder Wand. The second brother kills himself after a woman he brings back to life returns differently and he decides to join her in the void. The third brother lives to be an old man, then hands the cloak to his son, and "greets Death as an old friend."
Harry Potter fans have long assumed that the three brothers represent Lord Voldemort (the brother with the Elder Wand), Severus Snape (the brother with the resurrection stone) and Harry Potter (the brother with the invisibility cloak).
But who is death?
Death is Dumbledore, according to this new theory. Here's the evidence.
During the first book, Dumbledore gives Harry Potter an invisibility cloak, just like Death in the fable.
In the first book of the series, "Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone," headmaster Albus Dumbledore gifts Harry an invisibility cloak, which belonged to Harry's deceased father, James. The gift included a note: "Your father left this in my possession when he died. It is time it was returned to you. Use it well."
Dumbledore also gives Harry the Resurrection Stone.
During the first book, Harry Potter catches a Golden Snitch by swallowing it during his first Quidditch match. Later, Potter discovers Dumbledore hid the resurrection stone within that snitch. After Dumbledore's death, his will leaves the resurrection stone-containing snitch to Harry.
"To Harry James Potter, I leave the Snitch he caught in his first Quidditch match at Hogwarts, as a reminder of the rewards of perseverance and skill," his will reads.
For a while, Harry is unable to open the snitch. A sentence merely appears on the golden sphere, "I open at the close."
But at the end of the final book when Potter is walking to his death match with Lord Voldemort, he's finally able to open the snitch by whispering "I am about to die." Inside, he finds the resurrection stone, the stone that was part of the Tale of Three Brothers. Harry is then able to see all of his deceased family members before what he believes is to be his final fight with Lord Voldemort.
And what about the third brother's Elder Wand? Dumbledore had that in his possession too.
Dumbledore acquired the Elder Wand's powers during a famous duel before the books take place. During his demise, the power of the wand shifts from himself to Draco Malfoy accidentally, and then ultimately to Harry Potter, who defeats Malfoy in a duel.
So with all that knowledge, here's the theory that's floating around Tumblr. The theorist also notes that Dumbledore first met Harry Potter at King's Cross and that he was ultimately behind/involved in the deaths of Severus Snape and Lord Voldemort.

[Source: The Verge] The latest footage of Star Wars: Battlefrontfrom this year's Gamescom shows a new gameplay mode named Fighter Squadron that allows gamers to take part in hectic 20-player aerial dogfights, piloting X-Wings, TIE fighters, and even the Millennium Falcon itself. "Fighter Squadron will put you inside the cockpit of some of the most memorable vehicles ever seen in the Star Wars galaxy," said Battlefront senior producer Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir at the Gamescom event.
We want to give fans the thrill of living out their Star Wars battle fantasies.
The footage is the latest from developer EA Dice, which has previously shown on-the-ground battle footage, including a Jedi lightsaber battle. As with previous clips, this new Fighter Squadron mode feels as true to the original Star Wars films as any game that's been released before. "We want to give fans the thrill of living out their Star Wars battle fantasies in a game that is authentic, visually stunning and fun," said Ingvarsdottir.
Star Wars: Battlefront will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 17th.

Rejoice, anime fans! Viz Media has announced it’ll bring Boruto: Naruto the Movie to the big screen across the good ol’ US of A later this year.
Viz and Eleven Arts are joining forces in order to release the movie in over 80 cities, including New York, San Diego, San Francisco, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Seattle. With a premiere date of Oct. 10 (get your tickets here), Boruto: Naruto the Movie will be screened in Japanese with English subtitles.
In the animated movie, series protagonist Naruto Uzumaki must protect the Hidden Leaf Village, leaving his angry son Boruto in need of attention. Naruto’s childhood friend Sasuke comes to the rescue, taking Boruto under his wing.
Helmed by Hiroyuki Yamashita and executive produced by Masashi Kishimoto (based on his popular Naruto manga series), Boruto: Naruto the Movie features a screenplay and character design by Kishimoto, with screenplay work by Ukyou Kodachi.
[Source: Yahoo!Movies] TOKYO – “Attack on Titan,” Shinji Higuchi’s two-part dark fantasy, based on Hajime Isayama’s best-selling comic about teens battling human-eating giants, debuted atop the Japanese box office for the August 1-2 weekend.
Opening on 427 screens, with Toho distributing, part one earned $5.1 million on 467,000 admissions. Part two, “Attack on Titan: End of the World,” will open on Sept. 19.
The film, which takes considerable liberties with Isayama’s original, has divided fans and critics, with one writing he hoped the giants would devour all the teenaged protagonists before the credit crawl. Director Higuchi has responded in kind on Twitter, stirring up a media storm in the process.
In second place was “Minions,” distributed by Toho-Towa, which scored $4.4 million on 449,000 admissions. The first “Despicable Me” film earned $10 million in 2010 and the second $20 million in 2013.
Last week’s number one, “Hero,” fell to third place while driving total admissions past the two million mark.

Changes Due to Cultural Differences...
[Source: Yahoo!Movies] If you were to see Pixar’s Inside Out in the United States, then hop on a plane and catch a screening in Japan, you might notice through your jet lag that Riley’s least-favorite food has changed. In the original version, the 11-year-old protagonist hates broccoli, which has the nerve to show up on a slice of pizza in her new hometown of San Francisco. (That sight gag is in the trailer, below.) But in the Japanese version of Inside Out, the detested vegetable is green pepper slices — a much more conventional pizza topping in the U.S. In an interview with Slate, Inside Out director Pete Docter explained the logic behind the change.
“We learned that some of our content wouldn’t make sense in other countries,” said Docter. “For example, in Japan, broccoli is not considered gross. Kids love it. So we asked them, ‘What’s gross to you?’ They said green bell peppers.”
In the U.S. version of 'Inside Out,' it's broccoli that Riley hates.
That’s not the only tweak that Pixar made for international audiences. In some versions of Inside Out, the game playing in Riley’s father’s head (also seen in the trailer) is soccer, rather than the original hockey. “We offered a version with soccer instead of hockey since soccer is huge in so many parts of the world,” Docter told Slate. “But some countries that are into soccer actually decided to stick with hockey since the characters in the movie are from Minnesota and it makes sense that they’d be hockey fans.”

The director also noted one more change made to Inside Out to serve audiences that speak different languages. At one point in the film, the character Bing Bong points to a sign that reads D-A-N-G-E-R, telling Joy and Sadness that it indicates a shortcut. “Not only did we translate the sign,” said Docter, “but we even went so far as to reanimate Bing Bong so that he points to the letters from right to left, instead of left to right to accommodate certain languages.”

Regional changes aren’t limited to animated movies, either. For last year’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Marvel wrote up different versions of Cap’s to-do list for the U.S., the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Australia, Germany, Italy, Brazil, Latin America, Russia, and Korea. And for this summer’s CG-live action hybrid Pixels, Sony removed an attack on the Great Wall of China from the Chinese version, for fear of potentially offending the world’s second-biggest box office.

Kermit and the gang are back in the fall with The Muppets, and ABC has released five new posters for their upcoming modern take on the felt characters beloved by generations.
The posters show Kermit going full frontal, Miss Piggy being her egotistical self, Fozzy getting waxed and a thoroughly modern Gonzo with cell phone and coffee in hand. The upcoming Muppets sitcom will go behind the scenes of a late-night talk show hosted by none other than Miss Piggy herself, with Kermit as the show's executive producer, Gonzo as the head writer, and Fozzie as her trusty sidekick. The ABC series will be done in the mockumentary style perfected by series such as The Office and Parks and Recreation.
