'Evangelion' Inspired Animation Looks Amazing

[Source: Forbes.com] As part of Studio Khara’s ongoing Japanese Animator Expo, with unique animation shorts released each week, we have now been graced with an Evangelion inspired entry that looks simply amazing.

Handled by Sola Digital Arts, who recently created the CG Captain Harlock film, the short was directed by Shinji Aramaki, one of the founders of the studio.

Within anime, Aramaki is a very important figure. Originally starting out as a mecha designer, he made a name for himself with penning the mecha from famous series such as Bubblegum Crisis, Mospeada and Megazone 23. With the later going on to clearly influence the Matrix trilogy, though sadly without the Garland transforming mecha bike.

More recently, he helmed the Halo Legends films and even designed the ridiculously cool looking Prototype armor used in one of the shorts.

Here is the full short below and you can also check it out on the official site. Either way, you definitely want to take a look at this.
