Anime Central 2024

May 17-19, 2024
Donald E. Stevenson Convention Center, Rosemont, IL
[5/17/24 - 9:30 a.m.] The line for ACen stretches along the side of the entire convention center. For the first time, all attendees must go through security and metal detectors.
[5/17/24 - 9:35 a.m.] The line even occupies the entire skybridge that links the convention center and hotels with the parking garage.
[5/17/24 - 9:36 a.m.] A normal 7 minute walk took more than 45 minutes just to get through security.
[5/17/24 - 10:15 a.m.] Even though air conditioners were installed in the skybridge, with hundreds of people inside, the temperatures rose rapidly, causing some attendees to faint.
[5/17/24] This was a frequent scene at the convention center all weekend.
On with the show!
"Thunderbolt Fantasy" is an animated action/adventure/drama made with puppets!
The "Thunderbolt Fantasy" puppets stand over 3 feet tall and are almost as big as a person.
Looks like he upgraded the chasis this year with acrylic tubes.
Remember that one episode of "Chainsaw Man" where they all DIED? Yeah, that was awesome. Hope I didn't spoil anything for ya. ^_^
Slutbug? ^-^ (This is one of the Vendors at ACen this year.)
One of the most unique cosplayers at ACen!

  1. The new security checkpoints were a huge bummer (especially on Friday and I was stuck in that same tiny hallway for about 20 minutes) but I'm going to expect this will be returning year after year, especially with Chicago area violence still rampant and respect their safety measures.
