The Apothecary Diaries

Plot Summary:  

Jinshi notices Loulan's unusually large number of ladies-in-waiting during a visit to the palace's concubines, which reflects negatively on the others. Looking for Maomao at the Jade Pavilion, Gyokuyou points him to the clinic, where Maomao works with the doctor to create scented oils and ethyl alcohol for disinfecting, using a still she found. She does this process away from the Jade Pavilion to prevent the fumes from triggering a miscarriage, as Gyokuyou is pregnant. Later, a package of books from the Madam of Verdigris arrive, intended to teach ladies-in-waiting how to please the emperor in case it happens. Jinshi approves her little side hustle but Gaoshun had to take the books for censoring of its very explicit parts. A few days later, a novel starts becoming popular as it circulates among the servants. Noting the seal on one of the books, she remembers Jinshi asking where the books were purchased, and him asking her once on how to improve literacy in the rear palace. Thinking that this is part of the emperor's effort to promote literacy, Maomao then urges Ailan, one of Gyokuyou's ladies who can write, to make copies of the novel, so that the servants could read it too. Xiaolan expresses interest in learning to read and write, not just to enjoy the novel, but for her future as well. Later, during a walk with Hongniang and Maomao watching over her, Princess Lingli hears a kitten meowing in an alley. Maomao attempts, but fails, to catch it, only to be caught by an unfamiliar servant girl. Maomao takes care of the kitten, and the emperor allows the princess to keep it as a pet. Though the kitten is dubbed the "Admonisher of Thieves" for keeping the clinic rodent-free, Maomao is irritated that the kitten was named "Maomao". Later, Maomao hears news about a caravan arriving in town.

 

 

12:05 - 12:55   Frieren 27-28 [End]

Plot Summary:

Fern is upset with Frieren, feeling that Frieren doesn't comprehend her emotions. Fern confides in Stark that Frieren requested her to replace her staff, which had broken during the second exam. The staff, a gift from Heiter, held great sentimental value for Fern. Kanne comforts Lawine, who laments having to wait another three years before she can attempt the first-class exam again while Denken gives words of encouragement to Richter. Frieren arrives to the shop after Denken leaves and convinces Richter to repair Fern's staff. After Fern and Stark return to the inn, Fern discovers her repaired staff and recalls Heiter telling her about Frieren's deep care for others. The third exam commences, and all participants await instructions. Serie says that she will personally proctor the final exam since Frieren's involvement caused more examinees to pass than intended. Serie decides she will conduct one on one interviews to determine who deserves the license. Frieren tells Fern that Serie will judge each candidate based on her own intuition and that her intuition is always correct. Examinees enter one at a time and Serie evaluates them at a glance. She immediately fails Kanne for being weak willed, and later Laufen, Dünste, Ehre and Scharf for similar reasons. After Frieren enters, Serie also fails her, because Frieren is not interested in combat magic. Serie questions Frieren on how someone like her managed to defeat the demon king. Frieren responds that she had exceptional allies and couldn't have achieved it alone. She also points out that interestingly Flamme's flower spell which Serie hates was what inspired a young Himmel to become a hero and recruit Frieren into his party. Fern then enters and notices that Serie's mana is fluctuating similar to Frieren's mana. Serie sees enormous potential in Fern and asks her to be her student, but Fern rejects the proposal. Unwilling to turn away such a promising mage, Serie relents and passes Fern.

1:30 - 2:20    Lazarus (3-4)

LAZARUS

Plot Summary:  

The Lazarus team meet back up to discuss Skinner's digital face dilemma, with Eleina stating that only three hackers are able to pull this off, including herself. While she constructs bait for these hackers, Axel and Doug travel to find Claude Klein, the latter's university mentor who had previously worked with Skinner. Meanwhile, Chris and Leland visit Skinner's house to search for possible clues under the guise of cleaners. Axel and Doug locate Klein, who is now homeless, and he tells them a story about how Skinner once discussed baklava, telling him that his grandmother Billinda made the best ones and that she lives in Istanbul. Following up on this lead, the team regroups and sends Axel and Leland to the city to try to locate her. After a confrontation with a mob in the city, the two are able to find her house after clearing up a misunderstanding. They meet Billinda and sit down to enjoy some baklava, with the grandmother telling them about how she raised Skinner in his childhood after the death of his parents, stating thereafter that she hasn't had much contact with him since he became a world-renowned neuroscientist. Under the assumption that Skinner would want to make sure Billinda is safe, Axel finds a hidden camera in the house and tells it that he's coming after him. Meanwhile, Dr. 909 falls for Eleina's digital bait. Eleina is able to hack Dr. 909's into hidden wallet and discovers that he's working with an investor named Sam Stephenson, who sold off all his Hapna stock before Skinner's announcement, and deduce that Dr. 909 helped Skinner disappear in return for information about Hapna. With Sam being their only link to Dr. 909, the team decides to infiltrate one of his exclusive club parties. Meanwhile, Eleina continues to investigate the deposits made to the wallet, as they originate from physical ATMs located around the world, and manages to discover that Dr. 909's true identity is the world-famous DJ Visionary, who also happens to be performing at the party. The team attempts to apprehend both Sam and Dr. 909, but they flee the club via helicopter. Axel grabs onto the landing skid as it takes off, and with some help from one of Leland's drone, is able to shoot it down. Axel interrogates both men but discovers neither of them have any connection with Skinner. However, it's revealed that Dr. 909 uncovered Hapna's true nature after hacking a pharmaceutical company named Delta Medicinal, proving they knew about Hapna's dangers while also suggesting they colluded with Skinner. Elsewhere, a monkey among many kept in a lab suddenly dies, suggesting the threat of Hapna is very real.

 

2:20 - 3:10    The Super Cube 3-4

THE SUPER CUBE

Plot Summary:  

In an accident, an ordinary boy, Wang Xiaoxiu, obtains a space system called "Superpower Cube" from a high-latitude cosmic civilization and gains extraordinary powers. When the school belle, Shen Yao, Wang Xiaoxiu’s longtime crush, confesses her love to him, the delinquent Sun Jun, who also has a crush on her, is provoked. Wang Xiaoxiu resolves the crisis with his wit and extraordinary powers, but it also brings more disasters as a result. Shen Yao is taken to the world of extraordinary beings by a mysterious person, and Wang Xiaoxiu embarks on a journey to rescue her. Fighting in the bizarre universe, he finds the meaning of fairness and justice on the path to becoming a peerless powerhouse.

 

3:10 - 4:00    To Be Hero X 3-4

Plot Summary:  

Miss J tells Ling that Wolf Girl, the nemesis of the number ten hero, Firm-Man, has been spotted, and he has to stop her to get into the Top Ten. Discovering Wolf Girl's hideout, Ling uncovers her plan: to bomb a statue of Firm-Man, having distracted the heroes by leaking her own location. The bombs explode, causing the statue to almost fall on a child until Firm-Man stops it. However, Wolf Girl captures and threatens the child unless Firm-Man lets the statue fall. Fortunately, Ling arrives and reveals that Wolf Girl is, in fact, the first person Firm-Man ever saved and that she wants him to lose his power—unbendability—so he can stop suffering from its side effects. This causes Firm-Man to cry publicly, plummeting his Trust Value and removing his powers. The statue begins to fall, but Ling stops it, and his own Trust Value skyrockets as Miss J livestreams his actions, making him the new number ten. Afterward, Ling meets with the now-retired Firm-Man and confesses that he is not Nice, but the latter claims not to care. However, God Eye then publicly broadcasts that he has kidnapped Moon and threatens to expose Ling. Ling wants to save Moon but is stopped by Miss J and the public's will. Instead, Miss J’s boss sends the hero Blankster, whose punches can erase memories. However, God Eye defeats him by exposing his past as a cheating boxer, plummeting his Trust Value. Miss J’s goons interrupt God Eye's broadcast with the same commercial Ling made the day he was fired. This inspires Ling to go against the will of the people, which undoes his powers. Ling arrives and admits to everyone the truth about Nice. Ling tries to fight God Eye but gets repeatedly beaten up. However, Ling’s determination and confession of love to Moon inspire the audience, giving him his own Trust and power of super strength, allowing him to defeat God Eye. Moon is rescued but revealed to be a fake, exposing God Eye as a fraud himself. Afterward, God Eye is arrested, and Ling develops his own hero identity, The Commoner. Later, Ling uses Moon’s teleport gun to join her on the abandoned island—only for her to then be assassinated by the ninth-ranked hero, E-Soul.

Plot Summary:  

Fascinated by the vision she saw when the Omega Psycommu activated, Amate agrees to join the Pomeranians as a Clan Battle pilot under the alias "Machu". She later encounters Shuji Ito, the pilot of the Red Gundam, and they agree to work together as a pair for the upcoming Clan Battle. Meanwhile, Xavier is apprehended by the Side 6 authorities and harshly interrogated. Challia flies the Sodon directly into Side 6 as a show of force and intimidates the colony into releasing Xavier. During the Clan Battle, the inexperienced Amate initially has difficulty fighting the opposing team, but her newly manifested Newtype abilities grant her superhuman situational awareness and allow her to telepathically coordinate with Shuji and they secure victory. Challia and Xavier watch the battle as it is being streamed and are shocked to see both Gundams working together. Shuji reveals that he and the Red Gundam desire to head to Earth using the money he earns from Clan Battle, a sentiment Amate agrees with. Shiiko Sugai, a former Federation ace pilot known as The Witch, meets the Pomeranians after learning of the Red Gundam's appearance in the colony, and challenges them to a Clan Battle due to her desire for revenge. Piloting the Gundam-esque Gelgoog suit, she becomes obsessed with defeating the Red Gundam, and begins ruthlessly attacking Shuji with technology and techniques that rival even Newytpe reaction speed. In an event Challia compares to the Zeknova, Shuji brings Shiiko and Amate into a Newtype Flash where Shiiko reveals somebody is communicating to Shuji through the Red Gundam before she is killed by Shuji when he destroys her cockpit. Witnessing this, Amate realizes the lengths Shuji would be willing to go to achieve his dream.
