Based on Koei Tecmo's namesake game. The Yellow Turban Rebellion breaks out in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. A world ravaged by a plague-like wind that caused everything to rust and corrode. Komi Can't Communicate is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tomohito Oda. We're told that the Oscar-winning feature architects Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh are not involved with the project as we speak, but that will be determined down the road. Oscar-winning Lord of the Rings: Return of the Kingscribe Philippa Boyens will be a consultant on the new project directed by Kenji Kamiyama. The pic is being fast-tracked with animation work done by Sola Entertainment. Voice casting is currently underway. Pic will be distributed around the globe by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Animation to produce an original anime set in Tolkien’s fantasy world, the companies announced Thursday.
The War of the Rohirrim focuses on a character from the book’s appendix, the mighty King of Rohan, Helm Hammerhand, and a legendary battle which helped shaped Middle-earth heading into LOTR. The anime pic will expand the untold story behind the fortress of Helm’s Deep, delving into the life and bloodsoaked times of Hammerhand. Overall, the movie is a companion piece to New Line’s LOTR trilogy and is set roughly 250 years before that movie during the third age (Note Amazon’s upcoming Lord of the Rings mini-series is set during the second age).
The news comes at a time when Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ringis celebrating its 20th anniversary.
Kamiyama has been behind such anime projects asBlade Runner: Black Lotusand the TV seriesGhost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.Joseph Chou (Blade Runner: Black Lotus) will produce. Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance) are writing.
This standalone feature will be directed by Kenji Kamiyama, an anime veteran who last directed ‘Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex' TV series, and produced by Joseph Chou.

Here is the compilation of Superman vs The Hulk. When last we left our heroes Superman was mightily flying Hulk up into the sky. I hear all the time, Superman would just fly Hulk into space and be done with it. I always thought Hulk would put up a bit of a fight and maybe not just let Superman fly him into space. Anyway the fight in the sky I thought would be cool after a lot of ground fighting. So this is my interpretation of what might happen if they were to do battle in the sky.
I use the 80's film and television versions of these characters as that as what I grew up watching and inspired this in the first place. Christopher Reeve's likeness is used as in the previous version with slight model enhancements from the last one. I chose to give Hulk a closer resemblance to Lou Ferrigno, in face and body proportion but an eight foot tall, even more jacked version, minus the goofy wig. I use their likeness with all respect and hope it does their portrayals justice.
As stated above this was four years in the making. I usually work about 50 hours a week, pretty much whenever I'm home and render day and night on three work computers. There were times I was not interested in working on it and from time to time I take little breaks or go on vacation. Also had taken a studio job doing visual effects for about 8 months for a break and also earn some cash and learn new skills. So if I hadn't done any of that it may have been done almost a year earlier but that's the way it goes. I need a break from it. At a certain point I was really tired of working on it and not really liking it at all. I will share those videos soon so watch for them. Each shot went through many revisions and a lot of stuff was changed or taken out over the years. Took a while to find the right beats to hit. I think it turned out alright though not perfect or studio quality. It was a lot more difficult to stage a sky battle than I thought it would be, a lot more than a ground fight, so I kind of look forward to continuing it on the ground.
Terragen was used for making the environment and Maya for the characters. Nuke for compositing and Vegas for editing.
Francois Gratecap again did the excellent music work and a first pass at the sound design but that was when the video was not complete so I took over the sound design for a lot of it so forgive the less than perfect sound quality.

Baïdir is an ecological space-opera animated series
It tells the initiatory path of a hero willing to do anything to locate his sister, and thus restore the family’s lost balance. It is also a story that echoes a much broader collective quest. At stake: restoring our planet’s lost environmental equilibrium.
Baïdir is a series designed to span three parts, each composed of 8 episodes of 26 minutes. The genre varies from adventure to science fiction with a good dash of fantasy.
Born from the imagination of Slimane Aniss, then enriched by the graphic universe spun by Charles Lefebvre and Thierry Rivière, Baïdir got its first teaser in 2009. Several years later, in 2012, the concept for the series was purchased by a first production studio. This resulted in a second teaser being hatched.
Then several years after that, Andarta Pictures managed to acquire the rights to the work. At long last, work could begin on building the narration and the universe, thus allowing it to take shape for the television screen.

A Japanese story explains that there’s a “Red thread of Fate” that leads you to those that are meant to be. It says, it may stretch or tangle, but it can never be broken. The title of this anime "Itokoishi"(which is expression of Classical Japanese) means "a feeling of longing for a loved one", and "Ito" is a word called thread in English.
Ito falls in love with her classmate Ichinose, as her love grows, a red thread on her little finger increases and tries to connect it with him, but without knowing the meaning of this thread she breaks it and always flees, until one day she discovers the meaning of this mysterious thread.
DRAWN CLOSER: An Animated Short Starring Real Middle Schoolers
When COVID-19 cancelled their school play, Cox partnered with Thurman White Middle School and Academy Award winning director Patrick Osborne to reimagine the play as an animated short, voiced and performed by the students. The result was Drawn Closer, a heartfelt story of a school play in trouble, and a drama class determined to save it. Using mobile motion capture technology, the students of Thurman White middle school were able to perform together again – all from the safety of their own homes. This film was produced by Cox and ad agency 180LA for The Connections Project – a series of initiatives directed at providing human connection where it’s needed most. We tell stories that inspire all of us to stay connected and show the power technology has to bring us closer to one another during difficult times.
