First Look at Pixar's BRAVE

Concept Art for Pixar's Upcoming Film
[Source: aicn.com] BRAVE, formerly called THE BEAR AND THE BOW, is Pixar's first take on a fairy tale, and as expected it seems they're going the unconventional route, to judge by the plot and the concept art. For one thing, this will be Pixar's first female protagonist, and it's about time:
The plot, according to Entertainment Weekly, involves Princess Merida (Kelly Macdonald) who one day breaks a sacred custom of her kingdom, led by King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson), that brings disorder to the land. To try to rectify the situation, Merida seeks out a Wise Woman (Julie Walters), who grants her a wish that turns out to have unlucky consequences.
