- This is indeed a time for celebration! The Animatrix Network has reached a tremendous milestone: 20 years and counting, marking it as one of the oldest anime clubs in the Midwest. We are one of the original pioneers of anime fandom in the Chicagoland area. We owe much of our roots to the legendary Chicago Megazone, and many of our Animatrix members have participated in the founding and organization of several anime conventions, including the very successful Anime Central, which is considered to be one of the largest conventions of its kind in the nation.
- Together as a club, we have sailed through some rough and tumultuous seas, but have weathered the storms over these past two decades on a great adventure through anime fandom. And during all that time, we have unwaveringly met consistently each month to be with good friends and to watch great anime.
- The memories we have collected together are priceless. Come join us on July 25, 2015, as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary at the Wood Dale Public Library (yes, the same place where it all began), from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This will be a "potluck," so please bring a hot or cold dish to share. Please RSVP via email (anim8trix@sbcglobal.net) to let us know if you plan on attending. Parking is very limited, so please consider public transportation. Share your Animatrix stories with old and new friends this July 25, 2015!
