The Blackout begins for J.J. Abrams' REVOLUTION

"It's all gonna shut-off
and never come back on!"

[Source: Syfy.com] With a story centered around a global blackout, J.J. Abrams (Lost) and Eric Kripke's (Supernatural) upcoming post-apocalyptic series Revolution looks to be one of the most epic series coming this fall. Want to see what happens when the power goes out?

A new clip picks up just as the blackout is about to begin, and shows off some more exposition that peels back the layers of what exactly is happening. Following the outage, the series jumps 15 years into the future, so these fleeting, early glimpses of the modern world may be about all we get once this show starts.

The expansive cast includes Billy Burke (The Twilight Saga), Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost), Tracy Spiridakos (Being Human), Anna Lise Phillips (Terra Nova), Zak Orth (Vamps), Graham Rogers (Memphis Beat), J.D. Pardo (A Cinderella Story), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), David Lyons (The Cape), Maria Howell (The Blind Side) and Daniella Alonso (Friday Night Lights).

Revolution premieres Monday, Sept. 17, on NBC.
