The Animatrix Network is an anime & manga fan club located in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. We usually meet on the third Saturday of each month (except when holidays or conventions coincide). The meetings are free and open to the public. Join us for a day filled with anime.

This site provides news, reviews, commentaries, and previews of the world of anime and everything it inspires, such as live-action films, comics, music, art, and other weird things to enjoy and contemplate.

Space Dandy

One of the most highly anticipated anime is coming next year!
Space Dandy
Space Dandy (スペース☆ダンディ Supēsu Dandi) is an upcoming Japanese anime series directed by Shinichiro Watanabe and produced by Bones. The series will follow Dandy, an alien hunter who is "a dandy guy in the space", in search for aliens with his robot assistant QT and a cat alien named Meow. The anime has been licensed by Funimation in North America and by Madman Entertainment in Australia. The series will premiere in the United States before Japan in January 2014, at 11:30pm on Adult Swim's Toonami block. It will air in Japan on Tokyo MX, TV Aichi, and TV Osaka in January 2014. The opening theme will be "Viva Namida" (ビバナミダ Biba Namida) by Yasuyuki Okamura.
